should have been bryant with an and 1, they call a charge with the secondary defender with a foot in the circle. would have brought it to 1, MD shoots 2 FTs, now down 6
Circle doesn't matter in the women's game, but yeah, she was moving as she steps backwards. Least Sellers is now out.

Terrible last 2 1/2 quarters play by the Illini....felt the game started to turn when Bostic took an ill advised 3 pointer , then turned it over 2 other times....
With Mckenzie no-show and being outmuscled in the second half this is an appropriate ending to dismal season that started with us being ranked pre-season and never matching expectations.
...so sad to lose to the twerps again
...it really really is..

Still 10x better than record under Fahey. We beat likely #2 ncaa seed Indiana. Wish we saw more improvement in Cook, Bryant, Mackenzie and Bostic. We had more size w Hobby.

JMO- need more size, better defense, better passing, and somebody who can post up.

Berry Wallace McD AA 6’1 hopefully can address all these.

McKenzie had one of her worst offensive games and couldn't hit the side of barn. She was also the glue to the defense which fell apart when she got subbed out throughout the game. Defensive breakdowns got exposed.

+/- individually

McKenzie +6 (literally subbed in a time or two when Maryland was shooting FTs or would have been higher)
Bostic 0

Hobby -8
Bryant -9
Cook -9
Bollin -12
Dolan -18

WNIT announces 48 teams on March 17th. WBIT will be 32 teams.
Maryland-Michigan-Penn St are on bubble watch. Last few in/last few out

Maryland won...Not often I root for Michigan and Penn St to win a game or two. Get as many Big Ten teams into the dance to clear a way for the Illini in one of the secondary tournaments.

Doesn't the WBI still exist? I think it has been reduced to 8 teams. By my math, then, 68+48+32+8=156 teams will play in the postseason. I assume they will all be Div. I. There are ~ 350 Div. I programs so, you would think, we would make the cut.
