Pretty impressive so far especially after that pasting we took at home to kick off the B1G season. Michigan was 9-1 at home going into this game.

Interesting that Bryant only played half the game due to foul trouble. And Makira Cook had her best game of the season. Hmmmmm....

McKenzie with two HUGE rebounds in the last minute and a half. Both lead to time off the clock and 4 points also. Playing that last two minutes with both Cook and Bryant each 4 fouls, McKenzie was more aggressive than the rest of the players on both teams. Cook will get the praise after the game for a well played game and 20 points. However McKenzie, Hobby, Bostic, Dolan all played very good tonight. McKenzie 16 and 8, plus a lot of loose balls
Now that was fun start to finish. We stayed steady and responded to every Michigan run. So proud of the kid from Minnesota. She was everywhere tonight. Do need to work on finishing those layups. Different players took the scoring lead. Camille early. KB and Dolan. Cookie second half! As Coach Green likes to say, It’s a great day to be 1-0.
Adalia McKenzie is a great athlete. Gets overshadowed by our other guards. Adalia does everything on the court. Need more offensive sets for her even if she does create. Just love watching her and her smile. Joy to watch

What a crazy game BB is...................we lose at home by 36 points , then travel to scUMsville and win by 11........................
I believe the win over minny has ignited a spark in the Illini.....and Ms. Cook looks faster and more confident than ever this year...
Ms. Hobby is a deadeye shooter.....wish she had been starting all year........we needed her height and shooting ability in a lot of those close losses earlier in the year......
I will restate that I think Ms. Dolan will be a star before she leaves UI...................she really really will............JMHO

This is what she was brought here to do! Very glad that she seems to have turned a corner & has gained confidence! I will be so happy to be wrong if this is how she pays the rest of the season!

I could see the WBB team going on a nice wi nning streak right now.....No , I haven't looked at the schedule (maybe i should have )
but I see Cook regaining the form that netted her a 1st team All B$G and the importance of hobby in the starting 5......Again , Hobby is a deadeye shooter and along with the improved play from Dolan that leads me to hope for a final push to allow us to sneak into the dance......

With our veteran players returning this year I can understand her taking a reserved approach to her play........But as the season has progressed I see her taking more chances to show her stuff.....and she has major skills to use ........next year I can easily see her as a 10-15 PPG and 5-7 RPG player........alot will depend on how many of our starters return for their covid year of eligibility....
Either way , I again say she will be a star before she leaves the Illini program......JMHO...
