Dolin playing with 2 foul goes over the back to tip a rebound to a teammate for a basket. Hobby playing better as she does sometimes, sure makes this team much better. Drawing fouls with her power moves. Oh.. Bostic doing what she always does 6 points, 7 rebounds already.

Due to foul trouble we had to play Shay Bollin and the result 8 points, McKenzie had to do more scoring, no problem 14 points on 6-8 shooting. Bostic already with 10 rebounds at halftime. We are up 41-26 and that is with NW banking in a long three at the buzzer.

They must have changed one of the foul, Dolin only has one. The stats on B1G plus is not great.

No one wants to shoot a 3 - except for Bollin, and she's on the bench. The dribble drives aren't going to get you anything with the other team collapsing into the paint.

A real foul fest in the 4th quarter. Hard to watch. Happy for Shay. Brynn must have said something to the refs. (Just kidding.) Ms. Minnesota Basketball playing hard as ever. KB sick according to Coach. Logged big minutes and two points from another double double. Gen still cold from behind the arc. Saving 3’s for Sunday.
Hope we get a good crowd. Streaming stopped with 2:06 to play.

Don't understand why Bollin doesn't get more playing time.
Pretty simple

Coach Green puts her in against lower level competition. Most playing time against lower level non-conference opponents and both times against Northwestern. Not throwing her to the wolves but building her up.

Great to see Coach Green listened to Loyalty, and spread the minutes down the bench early and often. Of course, this had nothing to do with the Illini in a comfortable lead the whole game.

I agree wholeheartedly. How about Coach Green send some swag to us for our efforts?

Anyone else notice Shoup-Hill minutes have gone done drastically for a few weeks? Averaging 5-7 minute range the past 6 games. This isn't a bad thing ;)
Coach Green started rotating in Dolan now Bollin slowly. Think that will be the extent of it except for the blowout wins/losses left on the schedule.

Yes, as Camille Hobby has very successfully rotated into the lineup, Brynn has lost her minutes. Still glad to have her to spell Kendall and Camille for a few minutes thoughI believe Gretchen Dolan's terrible defense as is true for most freshmen, kept her from starting earlier in season. She is getting there on D as well as O. Still have a 7 player rotation which is fine. Would have been an 8 player rotation with Jada Peebles, who is gone with injury. Really looking forward to next year when 5 Star McDonald's All-American Wallace Berry joins the team along with the return of Kendall Bostic et al. Nevermind the Portal!

I don't like that Peebles got injured but we had to throw Dolan in once that happened. More minutes she gets now is better for the program in the future.

See who/how many enter the portal

Hoping Wallace is ready to play Day 1 but never know how high school talent translates to college. I would definitely feel better if Wallace is ready at 4, Bostic 5, Bollin and Shoup-Hill coming off the bench. Definitely hoping they try to land another big if even for a season(like Hobby). Transition in case Wallace isn't ready for starter minutes plus Smith getting use to college. We have a bunch of finesse 4's, no power 5's setup for next season(unless Smith comes out of nowhere later on).

I feel like KB really likes playing at the 4 spot since Camille began starting at the 5. Hoping they can find another power big in the portal. I am sure this all hinges on who stays for the guards as both Gen and Mikira still have a year if they want it. Wallace and Adalia at 3 with Dolan at shooting guard? Of late I feel like we do better when Gen and Mikira are not on floor at same time. When I think of how dramatically a roster can change now from year to year I do not envy that aspect of being a coach.

No doubt

Having Bostic at the 4 spot is her ideal spot. It really will depend on if we can bring in another big that can contribute right away. Landing a clear cut STARTING 5 would be huge for next season. Gives Wallace room to grow at the 3/4 spot with no pressure while still getting minutes right away.
