Illini deserved the W against the much taller & physical Maryland. Illini as usual played with passion and joy as exemplified by Coach Green. The contrast is quite striking with the other Illini game today.

As good as all of this was, Brynn was huge today, 8 rebounds, her three to put us ahead with 45 sec left, as several have pointed out was the most important points of the game, but once again playing 39 minutes her work on the defense was so important as this was a great Ohio State team with multiple scores and we stopped them, big thanks to her.

Wow..This team is doing the things I anticipated, albeit without ALL the tools I thought would be in usage (except for the experience and senior grit pouring down on the whole team)this year.Im still hoping we get a little more Hayven and and just a good surge more from the bench......IF those two things come along in this next few weeks...WATCH OUT USC!!! and yeah you too UCLA....maybe..lol.The rest of the B1G we know you guys like a book..Let's keep this momentum..Muck fichigan...

Just watched the replay and couldn't be happier for the WBB Fighting Illini team..........Gigantic roadkill victory spoiling the twerps Senior day and denying their coach of her 600th career win......

Sellers , for the twerps is the biggest whiny drama queen in the whole B$G,,,,,she really really is.......

Gen , with ice water in her veins , tuned out the raucous crowd at the end draining the 2 FT's for the deciding points for the big time victory..................A very nice day for Illini hoops all around..........we're in good hands with BU and SG........we really really really are...........

17-5. 7-4, tied for 5th in the conference. Before today we were 35th in the NET. ESPN had us on the bubble as one of the last 4 teams receiving a bye in the first round.

Right now, I believe we are sitting at 3-4 in Q1 with wins against FSU, @Indiana, and now @Maryland. 3-1 in Q2 with wins against Marquette, Oregon, and Iowa. And no bad losses. With the win today, we'd be safely in if it were Selection Sunday.

The next three are against the bottom feeders of the conference. Take care of business. After that, Nebraska and the final game against Michigan will be tough, but they’re both at home. Just split those games. At UCLA and at USC will both be incredibly difficult, but we also don’t need them.

We win 4 of the remaining 7 games before the conference tournament and we are sitting pretty on Selection Sunday, waiting to see where we are going. It's genuinely incredible considering all the injuries. I could not be more proud of this team’s resolve in the face of adversity.
