So A Guyton has hit the Portal ,just in time because has a 5 star PG from California coming and a reputable Iowa guard as well She did get playing time but it looks like they will have big battles for playing time there. I like her,but being snubbed for Iowa for me leaves a bruise. She does remind me of a Makira lóok,but we have that coming already. I'm more curious about Skylar Jones because of her size and productivity also a little more experience.Coach Green I'm sure has a list of options by now even though this Portal is being loaded up.

I’m very curious to see when Coach Green is able to do in the portal now that she has the program on a big uptick. Any idea what NIL $$ she has to work with?

You guys, I found the perfect combo guard in the portal

I'm hoping this year is an NIL amount that's like an investment so that they push the program into the top 3 because they can get the right two players and go into next year's tournament with much higher aspirations and a better seed. They could also more importantly SELL MORE TICKETS.. That would definitely get us more like Iowa and Indiana where your getting 10000 a night and the program is not reaching in to the ICON pot but contributing...Locking up the state talent would happen as well... I think NIL money this year is way more strategic.

Yes she is.... Her and Serah Williams would be perfect..I hear that Olivia is not big on defense.

Very interesting opportunity for transfer at Illinois

JR Jasmine - SG starter 25 mpg
JR Cory - SG 10 mpg after injuries to others
JR Gretchen - SG playing 20 mpg before injury
Soph Berry - SF starter playing 30 mpg after injuries to other

All others less than 5 mpg

Freshman
Destiny McDAA PG
couple 4 star stretch 4 or 3's

Definitely playing time at Center and PF

Not sure Destiny made the roster, but can't disagree with anything else

Wow Notre Dame is imploding..lol.They are transferring like crazy..
ND lost 1 starter and 2 bench. WBB is not as bad as MBB.

I was talking to IU fan who said MBB were down to zero remaining players.

I hope Brad learns from last year and makes strong effort to keep -DGL, Ty Jake Ben and Jason to go with Kylan and Tomas.

Of course what would make it all crazy would be if KJ or Will came back after NBA tryouts.

Well Miles and Kate Koval were starters and Risch was a bench player but Koval would be a nice pickup if she was interested in us.

It looked as though Gretchen could have been a point guard on the team.It gives some comfort because we are giving the keys to a capable freshman,..but still a freshman..lol

Gretchen can handle the ball well but is not an elite press breaking, open court steals, penetrate PG like Destiny. Gretchen was ridiculous HS scoring machine 39 ppg 9 rbg 4 apg. Her HS Williamsville South (Buffalo NY) had 800 students. While competitive probably not to same level as Whitney Young CPL.

I suspect Shauna's #1 selling point to Destiny was you will start day one at Ilinois.

....Jackson is a fantastic option, pushing the team with high-end foot speed. She can shoot the 3-pointer, get to her spots off the bounce, and possesses the athleticism to make plays on both ends of the floor. Jackson’s ability to apply pressure to opposing defenses is a skill that not 20 other guards in the class nationally possess....

.....The 5-foot-6 senior guard averaged 21.1 points and 7.5 rebounds per game this past season, leading the Dolphins(25-9) to the Class 4A sectional championship game. Jackson also averaged 3.5 assists and 2.8 steals per game.... Gatorade Player of the Year - Illinois

I saw a LSU player I would take is Las Tear Poa who just hit the portal. She shoots a decent 3 ball excellent defense and pretty good leadership. I believe she can score much more than she has on that team. She could maybe do a similar Genesis role.

I think Destiny Williams could be a starter but I'm sure the team needs depth at that spot as well at the 3.Now having Freshmen everywhere could be a blessing, but the B1G is tough league to be taking lumps in.Im certainly hoping for two seasoned and accomplished veterans out of the Portal

Cory showed some potential. Nice drives to hoop but lacking 3 point shot. Always played hard and was fearless. Hate to lose the experience but probably can replace her in portal. Shauna has nice culture going but you need continuity to keep it.

Either Shauna lost confidence in her at end of season or her knee bothered her more than was discussed.

WBB is morphing into MBB portal mode. Not there yet but looks a lot like the 1st portal year where MBB picked up TSJ and MM.
