VanSlooten still a thug and getting away with it, but if you can do it I don't blame her. We didn't shoot good, except for Wallace it was bad. Again cheap fouls and three of them on Jackson in the first half. We need her to keep them from pressing, make the fast break go, huge difference once she goes out.

Valiant effort by the Illini against the thuggery of msu and a huge missed call on a charge by msu by 3 blind zebras allowed msu to escape with a tainted win................Maddie W. was burning up the nets with 17 pts in the 4th qtr brought us from 15 points back.......

Berry had another great game.........Dolan's shooting woes continue.....

It's time to put Maddie in the starting 5 in place of Jasmine B-H...........It really really is..

Maddie needs to be playing with better offense than Wallace and Dolan for minutes played. Illini need to make their layups, lay-ins and not dribble into 3-4 defensive players and turn ball over. Too much of those unforced turnovers and bad shots.

Great effort in a tough road environment. Nothing to hang our the heads about. As young of a team as we have, I can't wait to see them develop.
So much more fun to watch with professional non biased announcers.

I think Maddie should replace Dolan. We need scoring off the bench

I think both things can be true. GD needs to improve here 3 and Maddie needs more time. Gretchen's ability to create her own shot is a huge plus. She may take eyes off the rim (?) but her production is very good generally, especially for having sat out much of last year.

After thinking about the game today, great team effort, on the road, against a ranked team we were one charge call away from winning this thing. We can find fault, complain but bottom line is we are a young team, smaller and yet played to the end and almost won. I'll take this team effort, hope for a few more made baskets, rebound or two, heck even get a call from the ref on the road in every game the rest of the year. Four years ago, maybe even three we would have gotten beat by 20. It didn't go our way, they didn't try and miss those shots so I'll take the effort, continue to grow and learn and not going to complain. Thanks coach, thanks girls I enjoyed the game today.
