Berry and Cearah were the heros of this game. Berry with the scoring and Cearah on the boards. Really need Dolan back to take the pressure off them, especially when other plays (like Destiny and Aliyah) have an off night.

It wasn’t pretty but I will take it. Good teams win these types of games. 5 years ago, no way ILL wins a game like this. They have a week off to fine tune things and get healthly. Nebraska will be tough.
It's kinda like I envisioned this team,they have the horses to win the B1G sometime in the near future . But at this point they are young precocious fillies with the energy and know the track but getting to the finish line ahead of this rugged field which includes some very refined mares like UCLA, Michigan , Iowa,etc.is one heckuva learning curve.But I see it. We have a superstar plus an emerging one in I believe in Destiny (as soon as her scoring improves and it is..). and really solid players from one to eight..It will be good to get the rest and a couple of practices in because without Gretchen the team can struggle scoring because of spacing this year.....But next year...lol.Manuela is a pro.

Yeah, but these next 4 games will be tough. If Illinois can go at least 4-6 in their last to games and win the games they are supposed to win to finish 9-9 in conference then they are locks for the NCAA TOURNAMENT, anything less than that then things become interesting. I predicted WBIT at the beginning of the season.
Now for this team to take a huge leap a nice nine and nine two blocks and 2.5 assists per game from Lety would get them so much closer to being B1G championship caliber even without Gretchen....Of course it would have been nice to have another pure shooter(Finney)this year too.I did like that Destiny showed she could be a serious 3 pt threat soon. Like I've said she may not be the main leader but definitely the guide for this offense,along with stellar defense as well.
