Great win! I don't understand why they played Gretchen, clearly not ready to play, limping on the court, and spent most of the second half with an ice bag on her knee. The goal should be get her back healthy for the BIG. It will be tough to make a run in the BIG/NCAA without her.

Ya-Hoo , the WBB team continues ROADKILL Sunday with their first road victory over a ranked opponent this year by the score of 75-66......................

CC Parchment with a double double................
Berry Wallace with another 20 + point game.............
Maddie Webber with a great uplifting game scoring big buckets when needed..........
Destiny Jackson is a great PG regardless of class year........she was pounded on all game long and never backed down...that was definitely a Flagrant 1 foul with her taking an elbow in the nose area.....B$G refs are so bad..........soooooooooo baddddddddd !!!!!

Great win Illini !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sure she would not have played had the doctors not cleared her. But sad that she is still not recovered

We are rocking again. No shame losing to Michigan and UCLA. Without Dolan we dont have the horses to compete. I think she is done for acouple more weeks. Might as well save her for BTT

This reminds me of last year..She may need a surgery again but a different knee.I definitely feel awful for her and the team.It looks last year's nightmare for her again.

She and Berry play really well together. Destiny didn't score a lot, but she really controlled the game on offense and made life really hard for Sellers on defense
Though she lacks in volume scoring ,she is a HUGE defensive stalwart and the offensive choreographer on this team. Her value on this team is noticed the moments she goes to the bench and think all of Destiny's teammates recognize her contributions.

No guarantee she would be ready to contribute much after that long of a layoff. She clearly was ruled medically fine to play.

She tried going late December last year after the initial injury. She didn't make it and mid January ruled out for the year.

I wouldn't be shocked if it happened again.

She really hasn't played much college basketball. Now is the time to gel for a good late season run so you move on with who you have available.

Illinois probably played their best game of the season with this group today. They looked good with who they had on the floor.

I am thinking that is just it, it will not get better until the season is over and she can rest it, may be tendonitis. Where it is a pain tolerance thing and playing on it will not run the risk of further injury. Otherwise, I am sure Shuana would not have her out there.
