There seems to be a trend of him at least having his new coach 90% locked down before he lets the old regime go. Which is very refreshing that we won't end up with more Shaka/Sumlin fiascosOnce again, I gotta hand it to Josh. He works extremely fast. Green has the credentials. I have my fingers crossed this is gonna be the move that turns our program around.
Agreed. Not a perfect candidate but better than I thought we could get. Looks like a very good hire.I-L-L
Let's go, WBB! Congrats to Green and best of luck!
If you look at her resume, she has gradually moved up to DI basketball. She maintained the course Jim Jabir set for the Dayton Women Flyers. Let's see if she can rebuild as Jabir did.
It appears Coach Green has her first recruiting trip ahead of her.I’m not so sure about a lot of minutes coming back....Nye, Amusan, Peebles, Brown and Porter all entered the transfer portal.
Hope this doesn't sound too negative but at least two of those names can be easily replaced in the portal. Coach needs to hit it hard. Have to keep Bostic and that is likely because she already transferred once.I’m not so sure about a lot of minutes coming back....Nye, Amusan, Peebles, Brown and Porter all entered the transfer portal.
So sad…So true…The table is set.....if Coach Green wins 3 conference games...then it's an improvement.
Jud Heathcote famously said once...the good news is we have everyone back this year. The bad news is we have everyone back this year. Apologies to Jud if I didn't get that exactly right but ya get the idea.Coach Green will have a lot of minutes coming back from this year's team. I don't know if returning experience in this instance is a good thing or a bad thing. Two sophomores, Nye and Bostic, were named B1G Honorable Mention. There is a 4 star from Chicago, Camille Jackson, who has signed a LOI, presumably recruited by Coach Irvin. Two international players, including a 6'5" post player, will be coming. The other international player, Hana Muhl, is the younger sister of Nika Muhl, who starts for UConn. Depending on the transfer portal, both in and out, and if we are able to keep our recruits, we should be able to gauge how much of a difference a coach makes. Also will be interesting to see who, if any, of the assistants will be retained. This is the time of year when everything looks better for the future. Of course, I was optimistic last year too.
