Thanks for the information. I am not questioning the prowess of the Big 12. My point is they haven't played any of the better teams yet, excuse me-TCU beat them.
They get some benefit of the doubt having been to the final four recently, having a clear and identifiable defensive identity, recently producing an all American/first round pick, and consistently maintaining a roster full of long athletes that keeps their system churning. Also their strength coach is one of the best in the business and we know how highly we regard fletch. If he ever left, Alan Bishop is they guy I’d hope we bring the brinks truck for.
They don’t have to leave the state to get what they want in HS recruiting, and there is a bigger buzz around Houston basketball from what I hear/see than even Baylor off their recent natty. Houston is also a basketball city, so they have a better culture around their program than other Texas schools.
As far as TCU, the big 12 is a gauntlet. They almost went into Kansas and won. There not many gimmes in that league.
