Looks like the B1G is going to be a football conference for the present time.

Wow, only 3 BIG in top 25 and only two more getting votes, barely, 7 and 3 votes.

I am on board for a 15-5 BIG record as our floor.

does having a national champ in football makes you a football conference?
what if B1G wins the Men and womens basketball championships?

Floor?? C’mon now, 15-5 would be a 2 seed in NCAA tournament. Floor would be closer to 11-9 tbh. Torvik has us project as 14-6 in the big 10 and that doesn’t take into account TJ not playing.

I am surprised we didn't drop farther than 10. Guess the AP and Coaches still think the Illini are pretty good. Can't understand why Houston is ranked so high they haven't really played anyone yet.

Yet somehow still not as dumb as Tyler Hansbrough's take that Illinois is a bubble team this year.

Since we are piling on, I was listening to the Field of 68 podcast the day after our stomping of NW. The episode literally mentioned us in the title of the podcast. The whole first 20 minutes was about Duke beating some crap ACC team (maybe Syracuse??). Then when they finally got to us, it must've been 3 or 4 sentences max, with Tyler's contribution "I didn't expect them to win by so much."

I don't listen to that podcast very often, and probably won't listen to it much going forward

Nah, cause I’m not saying it’s not possible. Just that it’s not our floor. When the most likely conference record outcome based on season-to-date team efficiency is 14-6, saying that we can’t get below 15-5 is orange Kool-aid talk
