Hate to say it, but I feel a little overatted at 10.
This is more of a 'not understanding maths' thing than a grammar problem, is it not?

You think we’re squealing too much?
Well thank goodness it's a rat problem, because I don't feel at all over-rated.
Agreed x infinity! (Crap! Another asymptote reference)As opposed to the most overratted team of all time.....
I'll take English Literature for $1000 Alex
I agree with your insight and the problem this year is how you define marquee win. I know Q1 is the standard but what happens when you look at resume against teams projected in on bracket matrixThe knock on us is the lack of marquee wins. We will have our chances later in the year with Wisconsin and Purdue, but if we keep stacking wins, we'll move up regardless of how highly we "feel" we should be ranked. We pretty much established ourselves as a "top 10-15 team" at the end of December, and we have not won or lost enough to move out of that range.
Ug, can we pull for ND for one game?
I'll pull for anyone if it helps Illinois.Ug, can we pull for ND for one game?
It’s definitely a strange/down year for 4 of the 6 major conferences, other than sec & the big 12. Should be a wild & unpredictable tourney with so many overlooked but capable mid-majors likely to be in.I do think the conference is down and I do think that NCAA tourney results are impacting rankings.
FWLIW I think Southern and Colgate are projected to be in the field too.I agree with your insight and the problem this year is how you define marquee win. I know Q1 is the standard but what happens when you look at resume against teams projected in on bracket matrix
4 Wins 6 seed FAU 8 seed NW 9 seed MSU 10 seed Nebraska
3 losses against 1 and 2 seeds, 1 loss against 8 seed. Then the MD loss
Compare that to Wisky they have 6 wins against tournament teams (Marquette, MSUx2, Nebraska, NW, Providence a 12 seed)win against a Virginia bubble team. They have 2 losses against non tournament teams
That’s not a big difference between our resume and we need to beat MSU
Yeah auto qualifiers are hard to predict and I left them out due to uncertaintyFWLIW I think Southern and Colgate are projected to be in the field too.
Very unlikely AZ wins both of thoseAlways good to be a "Top 10 Team," regardless of what anybody says! Even though MSU is only receiving one vote in the poll, I think a win in East Lansing (hopefully combined with some chaos elsewhere) could move us up a few spots, too! FWIW, here are the teams ahead of us this week in action in some matchups to keep an eye on:
#4 Kansas at Kansas State (KU a 4.5-point favorite) ... Monday at 8:00 pm on ESPN
#8 Arizona at Utah ... Thursday at 7:00 pm on Pac-12 Network
#6 Tennessee at Texas A&M ... Saturday at 7:00 pm on ESPN
#8 Arizona at Colorado ... Saturday at 9:00 pm on ESPN
It’s not as great as many years but other teams definitely deserve recognition. I mean Nebraska has beaten BOTH PU and Wisky. Northwestern has beaten BOTH PU and UI. How can you beat two top 10 teams and have zero votes? What I notice is Purdue, Wisconsin, Illinois then literally not even one Big Ten team even receiving votes in the top 25. Is the conference that mediocre this year? Not sure that I remember it this bad. Now, the last two years, per tournament results, the extremely overrated and maybe these rankings reflect that?
Edit: MSU getting 1 vote.
I am good with this rating. I just hope they can maintain hat ranking with a win at MSU.
