I thought KenPom and Torvik discount/ignore garbage time, so that shouldn't hurt us. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong
since the Mizzou game on December 20th Illinois is 1 on torvik and Michigan is 2. defense has gotten much better
Boswell was great tonight and it’s silly to complain about anything in such a dominating win. . But there were a few times he took quick shots forcing the issue and tried to drive with no one else down the court yet that had me thinking- didn’t he get the memo? We don’t do that anymore, pull it back and wait for a better shot- etc, I’m sure it will happen, but something to monitor
Secretly, I think he’s an Illinois fan, too. I really, really do.
I was in attendance and it really felt like it was just a sleepy game at SFC against NW on a Tuesday night. So so fun. Can’t wait till Saturday.

While I don’t know the official totals, the 4-1 ratio of Illini fans to USC fans is not unreasonable. I’ve personally never been to a road game, or even a neutral site game, where the orange shirts so greatly outnumbered the opposing fans. It certainly was an enjoyable game to witness in person.

Great game all around -- I love watching a game I never worry the entire time. Wagler didn't press considering they focused their entire defense on him. USC did a good job sitting on his spin move and poking the ball away a few times. Unfortunately for USC, that let all our other players torch them. The game was pretty much summed up by the first two plays of the game, a 24 second violation followed by Ivisic wide open under the basket. Nice to see us rest our starters but could we have done it with 10 minutes to go? On to UCLA.

I thought the exact same thing. I think the occasional change of pace is good (its great on the defensive side!), but would love if he could scale back the quick offense and do, say, two fewer rushed attempts per game.

I love late night blowouts by the beloved , especially in La La land with a healthy squad of road kill warriors that is this year's Fighting Illini.....................7 players in double figures.............it's a pick your poison opponent's scouting report that has caused many a sleepless night for opposing coaches.............We are above all " A TEAM."..........A team that will bludgeon you on the boards , with high % 3 point shooters . and sticky defense........
Andre driving the rim , Mirko-Man hitting 3's and passing for assists , Jake & Ben doing whatever is needed to get the win ......and on and on ................Wags and the twins........etc etc................
