Ty just said this is the most connected team he has EVER played on......We just want to win..........That's saying a lot about the chemistry and maturity of this team..............It really really does...............

So much to be pleased with tonight with terrific performances by several players… and yet it still feels like a funeral. 🫤
We have to stop this. We aren’t quite as good now. We are still really good. We have guys coming on. Rodgers in a year has improved so much. He’s dominating the boards from the point guard spot. He’s making free throws at a passable rate now. Oh and he’s playing point guard.

Dain is going to give us a different look and believe it or not Goode and Domask will eventually hit open threes.

This is still a very, very good basketball team.

Oh and count me in as thinking DGL is gonna find it pretty soon now with more minutes.

Amazing response by the guys under the circumstances. Only person that really struggled was Luke, and our D was not good in 2nd half. But no complaints given that we could have come out dead, and who could have blamed them. I was really dreading watching this game, honestly, but glad I did.
I am loving these games where we win very comfortably and are able to say things like "...our D was not good in the 2nd half." We've given up 48 and and 43 in the last 2 2nd halves and won by 24 and 33!

An incredibly impressive team performance under the worst of circumstances. Proud to be an Illini tonight.
I’ve had a few bevy’s. The last few days have been so strange and have been an absolute gut punch.

I watched every second of tonight’s game and it was an act of catharsis. I love my team, I love my coach, I love my AD, and I love my players.

Damn proud. Go Illini

Glad to see a blow out win and I think we saw a bit of what we are going to need to do moving forward:

- Dain is just too valuble down low. He is not a good defender, but it's a trade off I think we're gonna have to make more often
- I need more of aggressive Ty. Without TS we'll need him to step up to get us a few buckets. Take smaller guards to the block and bully them. He can't just not look at the rim. Find your offense down low.
- Coleman only shot 3's tonight. 5 of 8 is awesome, but I'm OK with him doing a bit more work in the post as well.
- I root for Dra so much, I love his potential, but man you saw initially why BU knows he's not ready. Comes in, immediate turnover/bad foul...BUT... he ends up with 9 points in limited minutes. I would like him to be spoon fed a little more. That kid is talented with bounce. You may have to live with some mistakes but I would like to see him be worked in to develope. He's an offseason away from being a star IMO.

Great game from Harmon. Keep shooting.

There is no getting around not having TSJ, but I am very interested to see how BU coaches these guys the rest of the way. We can still be a very good team.

As I said in the game thread, it was a slow start...but after running awhile, the Shannon-less Shock was forgotten and they started to enjoy hooping it up with their teammates and having fun. It was great to see, and only served to cause Illini Nation to fall more deeply in love with this TEAM. There is so much talent on this team that is unused...and it got used tonight.

This team may not be of FF calibre...but they are great to watch play and deserve our admiration and support however far they can go. Certainly have earned mine.

I'll wait for the StatNerds to tweet it...but the last (any?) time we had 3 players with a double double?

And 4 Dain rebounds from 4 players!!??

Very, very good response by the kids in the face of the gutnut punch we've endured in the last 24 hours.

While the TSJ news puts a heavy damper on the first two months of the season it can be still viewed as a success. Quality neutral site win over FAU, dominated Rutgers @ Rac and the Mizzou massacre. Only two losses were to Marquette and Tenn, both games we very much had a shot to win. And the key thing is no bad losses.

I like this team so much. Impressive showing, especially given the circumstances. Underwood has a good team on his hands. We will still be a top team in Big10 without TSJ, maybe not championship contenders, but I say make the tourney and see what happens. I would hate to play us. Go Illini!
