Well , that was a great response to all the noise surrounding the Illini program........The chemistry and maturity of this roster came through big time with some uncertainty hanging around before the game started.............
The number of double double's tonight was so refreshing to see and calmed down my apprehension before the tip off.........You never know how a team will respond to adversity and to lose your Alpha Male All American is the epitome of adversity , IMHO...
Ty with 10 points and 15 rebounds is an amazing stat line and he jumps to the roof to corral a rebound like it a ball of gold....
Marcus with 11 points and 11 assists and a game high 32 minutes played was awesome considering he was fouled about 1,000 times...........
Quincy with another double double and played a MAN'S game tonight...........
Harmon with the fastest 14 point explosion was a sight to see and needed to make separation from the fouling fdu's.....
everyone else played the game the right way , the Illini way................

Good overall result for the team today. Took them about 16 minutes to get going offensively, defense was good, not great, definitely missed TJ's defense tonight. CoHawk and Domask carried the team defense, and Dainja and Harmon (and Hawkins also) carried the team offensively. Playing against FDU is hard to gauge as they're arguably one of the 20 worst teams in D1, so we'll get a better idea of how they can put it together next Tuesday at home.
Still, considering everything that's happened the last 24 hours, a B game effort is solid.

Proud to be an Illini tonight. Great crowd, great energy, and a great win! 
Good summary. There were definitely moments in the first half when it seemed they were kind of lost offensively. They are so used to the gravity that Terrence creates, they weren’t sure how to react. BU put Dain in the game and they played Kofi ball long enough to get their bearings. 2nd half they were much more fluid.
I think BU did a great job coaching this game. This was not an easy task, even though FDU wasn’t a huge hurdle. I think they learned a lot about who they are w/o TJ.
No layups left. Time to get to work.

That plus the rebounding domination equals elite offensive production.
Don’t know if someone mentioned else where but for a coach that just had his best player suspended, Brad didn’t act like it.
Obviously he’s been way calmer on the sideline this year, but tonight seemed like every time he was shown on the camera he was smiling… that gives me hope going forward.

No doubt! Just wait until he starts to actually finishes more of those lay ups. And his ability as a PG can still improve a ton and he knows it… and if he gets a jump shot pray for the rest of the country

Like everyone else I guess I was feeling down in the dumps and nervous how these guys would respond. I thought they would have no energy no purpose just go through the motions. Well the first 12-14 minutes wasn't great but they have been off over a week and it showed. Then they turned the switch on going to Dain, Quincy was good as usual, Hawkins not showing much early but then decided to get in the game, Harmon big time step up, Ty was a beast on the boards and it just seemed to me he put them on his back and got them rolling.
This team was TJS team up until tonight. After this performance we saw no more "MY BALL" like last year. This team is unselfish, deep and talented. No I think the next 4 games will really tell us what they are made of. Don't sleepwalk against NW cause those Cats will jump up and bite you. The Illini will have to slow down Booie!
