As mentioned, Iowa probably played one of their best games this year, and the Illini still won by double digits.
If Sandfort doesn't go off, this is a 25-point victory, imo.
I hope in the future KJ doesn't hurt this team in clutch time with his TOs. It could be a problem down the line.
It's obvious his talent outweighs his TOs, but it may come back to bite us.
Morez is just a beast. Unreal. Like the fact BU didn't play him a ton of minutes. Gradual.

Now that was some fast paced offensive minded basketball.......If you are a defensive minded fan then it's back to the drawing board for your taste.........Myself , I enjoy a run and gun game IF the Illini are victorious...........I really really do...............
I love any game with 3 Illini starters finish with 20 points or more and another with 19 points....
Boswell , Riley and White with 20 + points with Boswell setting a career high with 24......
Tomi with another double double with 19 & 14 rebs.......
So many Illini records set AND BTT records set.......other posters can recite all of that info................

I agree. Iowa was just on fire. Illinois matched it and then some offensively. It actually may very well prepare the Illini (condition-wise) for Maryland.
They'll be invited somewhere, won't they?

Absolutely no defense for some of his TOs today and he deserves criticism, it's just that same "not an NBA player" repeatedly over and over .... it's silly and just gotten old. And at the end of the day, if he's not, great - it's a guy whose unanimously projected as a top 10 pick

Now if the Rutgers guys got some of this crap instead of the first class celebrity treatment everywhere, maybe that might've lit a fire under their a$$ so who knows....

I think some people here could afford to chill and eat a bowl of tuna from time to time. This was a game between the top two offenses in the conference. Of course they were going to get buckets. It's tourney time. Embrace the madness, enjoy the next game, keep fine tuning things for the big dance.
For better or worse, once we got it to double figures in the 2nd half, I think we somewhat coasted to the victory.
IIRC they never got closer than 9 after that.
The best teams can save energy for the bigger games.
