Underwood in post game presser stated Mirk was not at the arena tonight because he was sick...had nausea...didn't want him around the team.

Talk about when it rains it puts. Get it al lout of the way now I guess.
I took that as he needed some time to recover from the appendix surgery. Coming off anesthesia can sometimes make you nauseous

It would have been more surprising to me, if he were there after the weekend he had. Dude needs to take it easy for a few days.

FDU is not good, but holy smokes…
kids are alright chloe x halle reaction pack GIF

I don’t know how BU & Co keep finding 3 star guys who can play, but they just keep doing it.

The nausea is most likely from his Appendectomy. My son was pretty sick for about 4-5 days

I realize it was only against FDU, but still; our players, including the frosh, made a lot of creative, confident passes. They passed it well from the post and around the perimeter. Very crisp and unselfish. Glad to see the frosh get so much PT. I can't help wondering how well FDU would do in the CCIW.

Gotta say, the future is looking BRIGHT if we keep these freshman and sophomores! JJ has impressed me with the leap he has had over last year, Brown has some maturity and IQ I wasn’t expecting, and Lincoln Williams might have me most excited. The athleticism, defensive lock-in mentality, and “dawg” he has in him I think will make these guys dangerous in the future if we can keep him for a few more years.

My self-deprecating humor side of me wants to say, did Brad go out and get his deepest team because he was tired of constant injuries happen when least expected? I was hoping Jake Davis’ shoulder injury would be minor enough to be back shortly.

Tomi looked beastly, Andrej looked focused, and Vaaks has just an impressive shot motion. The faster offense is fun to watch.

I’m excited! Get healthy! Let’s go win the season!

I know FDU is a lesser than type of team. But holy cow that was a masterclass. The passing was 2005 level. Between the Bears and this Illini team this might be one glorious fall and winter. I’m here for it.

So fun to watch the ball movement. The competition was truly inferior but glad to see all the freshmen get some significant PT. Morillo with 8 boards was nice to see. Hope Jake comes back soon from likely dislocated shoulder and more importantly it doesn't bother him or repeatedly luxate all season. Would like to see Tomi shoot better than 25% from 3 against this caliber competition- can't say that he looks any less slow and plodding than in previous years. Still this team can be really special, especially when Mirk finally returns and gets back into shape- which now is looking like 4+ weeks with everything he's dealing with.

Really bad looks at times tonight. No confidence near the rim. The extra weight makes him look very sluggish. Still jumping on pump fakes. And doesn’t shoot like Tomi either. Only bright spot was 3 ORebs.

Career 3 pt percentage:

Z .333
T .332

They could both step it up in that area by a couple percentage points though.
