crazy we only moved up 4 when Wisc only fell 2. If we had lost, at home, to the worst team in the big ten, we would have fallen waaay more than 2 spots. Voters still don't trust us.

Ohio State nowhere to be seen in Top 25. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

We're #18 in Pomeroy. It seems we're right where we should be. Wisconsin, however, is anchored where it is b/c of recency bias regarding its success. Iowa, IMO should be higher than 24 based on its recent play.

Wisconsin gets way too much respect from the media. Their resume is not any better than ours. I know they beat Purdue twice but that's it. We beat the same teams they did but did it better. They lost to MSU, Rutgers, and Nebraska at home, didn't have to play @Iowa or @Michigan. Our losses at home were to Purdue and OSU, swept MSU, Michigan, and Iowa. And the most important thing is we beat them head to head by 13 points.

Anyway it doesn't matter all that much we're B1G champs but it is a little frustrating to see them get the respect I don't think they deserve over us.

If any of the voters watch our games, and I question that, they would see what we see: chronic inconsistency, frequent periods of stagnant offense, and a two dimensional offensive attack: 3 pts or Kofi.

Except when your avatar is on the floor. Then the range of outcomes increases and the tails of the probability distribution get fat.

Thank you. I wanted to say that but it sounds better coming from someone else

Last 3 weeks we hurt ourselves with losses @MD, home vs OSU and @ Rutgers.
We should have beaten OSU and MD. That puts us in the top 10 and a good shot at #2 seed.

Unlike last year this team as multiple losses to worse teams - @ Marquette, Cincinnati neutral court, @ MD

Cincinatti is 16-14 NET100
Marquette 19-11 NET 38
Maryland is 16-16 NET 89

Our defense was much better with Ayo and Adam. We miss them.

Lunardi still has Wisconsin projected as a 2 seed after their loss to Nebraska. He has ILLINOIS as a 4 seed.

Marquette is no longer a bad loss, though. Even @MD is a Q2 and within spitting distance of Q1. That Cincinnati loss still hurts.

Begrudgingly I have to agree. I think Iowa’s got a little bit of a Rodney Dangerfield thing goin’on there too.

Wisconsin's pre conference wins are significantly better than anything we have. Had we beaten Arizona, it's a different story. Had we not lost to Cincinnati, it's a different story. We're very biased, but from a macro level, their resume is better than ours.

That's still probably about right. Getting out of the glow of last night and focusing in on the regular season on the whole, as well as the postseason....one game does not(and should not) overshadow what was a very mediocre second half of the Big Ten season. We started the conference season at 10-2, ended at 15-5....that's 5-3 down the stretch. Can't ignore that. Also, can't ignore that we don't have a marquee win. Arizona or Purdue would have provided that.

Winning the conference regular season championship was/is unreal. Love it. It was a very, very bumpy ride down the stretch.

If we win a game or two, we could be looking at a 3. Early losses and inconsistency hurt us. We still have something to play for.

I’m not gonna argue, you’re right, but had lurch not concussed Kofi we’d be outright champs and thought of a lot higher. Imo.
