I was in the stands the last time we beat Oregon at home back in 1970 (I was 7 at the time). My dad went to Oregon so he was excited to see them play - they had Dan Fouts and Ahmad Rashad (Bobby Moore at the time) on the roster. I don't remember much about the game, but I do seem to recall we had a big stop toward the end of the game when the Ducks were driving to take the lead.

Per Wikipedia, attendance was only 33k, but to my 7 year old eyes the crowd outside the stadium as we were going in seemed like Times Square on New Years Eve.

I am still im absolute shock how we won this game. It was great to see the defense take a couple steps forward granted Oregon was beat up but their defense wasnt. Just dominated the line of scrimmage. Hope we can squeek out 2 more wins. Should beat maryland but the last three will all be vs ranked teams.

Ha ha. Those are some awfully sour grapes. Sounds like that dude doesn't think the games have to be played to determine the winner.
Oregon is a one-hit wonder. Without Phil Knight and his money (which won't last forever), they're nothing more than a "movie of the week" (to quote Brad Pitt in Seven).

I wish every date did it like we did in Wisconsin. 1A was the biggest, if you do it the other way you have to know how many classes there are to know if the competition is any good.
Nah, Georgia has it figured out. Their largest class is AAAAAAA. Yes, written like that.

Op topic though, I just finally got to watch the whole game. I am amazed - ASTOUNDED - by the work this patchwork offensive line has done. Incredible. Gotta be some proud families back home.

Incredible job by offensive line 225 yards rushing vs Oregon.

Prior to game Oregon was ranked 33rd in country giving up 111 yards per game

....Oregon returns its entire starting defensive line from a group that helped carry the Ducks to a Big Ten title and a College Football Playoff berth last season. Teitum Tuioti and Matayo Uiagalelei are back off the edge. The interior tandem of Bear Alexander and A'Mauri Washington returns too, after both passed on the 2026 NFL Draft. Washington in particular is drawing first-round buzz for 2027. One Big 12 general manager told ESPN, "A'Mauri will be a first-round pick.".....
