So we had 4 turnovers, including our first 2 drives. We missed 2 field goals. And yet we won comfortably. Thank goodness for Ryan Walters and our defense.

You take away three or four plays from that game and Illinois wins 84-3.
Could be the best game from an Illini defense I’ve seen since the Tepper era.
Still work to do cleaning up penalties, in the red zone and with the kicking game.

After the way Brennan Armstrong carried on in last year’s game, It was incredible how the Illini D laid the smack down on him today.
A win is a win. The program is obviously a work in progress, I'll take the win any day. We could easily be 3 and 0. The defense won this game for the Fighting Illini.
An Illini win, a squakeyes loss, and a domer loss is a heckuva day
But how much do we win by if Ditka is the coach?
Other programs will be coming hard for Ryan Walters.
