Winning on kind of improbable plays at the end of games seems to be the theme of this year lol! Toledo and Maryland kind of ended in that kind of vain as well. It has been an interesting year to this point, am hopeful we can take 2 of the next 3 and get to a bowl game....would be huge for this program to get there back to back....especially since we have the 4 new teams coming in next year. Here's to hoping we beat Indiana and keep the momentum for this team alive!

The pocket looks a lot different when the other team is playing "prevent".

Gonna have to agree and disagree...We rightfully are thrilled with what Paddock did against Minny - it was nothing short of incredible. But he has not looked good in previous games when he's seen action. Luke is undoubtedly QB1. Kid has raw talent and I love that he's a legit dual-threat. Very intrigued to see how he improves over the next couple of years - Millen was annoying as can be commenting on the Minny game but he's right that Luke has improved and the game looks like it's slowing down for him. Lunney & the O-line have also done him no favors...but I'm not gonna say he's been "so good" like OP stated. Way too many turnovers and missed throws. He simply hasn't learned when to throw the ball away and live for another down...yet.

We were there! It was magnificent! The sold out crowd was standing. We were in the south end zone bleachers, and when everyone was jumping up and down screaming when we scored, I truly thought the bleachers were going to collapse. We bought season football tickets the following fall, which we still have. One of my favorite all-time Illini football memories.

It really wasn't that bad it was a great read by Nubin. Most college safeties aren't going to be coming off the sideline reciever like he did. It loomed like Washington didn't run his route well enough to hold him and Williams was kind of shallow on the post route. They ran almost the exact same play for the game winning touchdown but Williams ran it much more vertically and it made it harder for Nubin to jump.
That was cover 2 not Prevent,bit on look to Washington then stepped up into Pocket and threw a rope to Williams excellent defensive read. Again Paddock is "the Man"
If you think it’s more important to burn your QB plans for the next five years for a slim chance at winning the Big Ten Worst then fine, I guess that’s something you could attempt. I wouldn’t, but I don’t fault you.
