Great win. Defense is still a problem. Don’t know if it’s personnel or play calling
Well, THIS time they played the full 60 minutes! Literally! Right down to :00! Thrilling, but should have been locked up far before that.I need some of y'all to pull up your big girl panties when watching games. If I sat through that at 35 weeks without losing it or going into labor, y'all can hold it together to watch a full 60 minutes of football before declaring us cooked
Meh. Good optics for the guys, though. Lets 'em know the fans are juiced for 'em.Could have been soul crushing lol.
But we pulled it out!!
Also, I know it was Homecoming and a last second field goal, but you don’t rush the field beating a #21 team when you’re #23…
Bingo. It's more of a recruiting/transfer issue than a scheming issue.IMHO, lack of quality depth on the defensive side of the ball is the major problem, not the D coordinator.
Oh, with good reason! These are the things I ticked off in my mind before The Big Kick:David Olano looked extremely nervous before his kick. I was honestly worried. But the kid proved himself.
I really like how the team responded after such a devastating loss, and we're still very much in the playoff conversation.
I thought the goalposts were coming down, I really did
Gus agreesD was actually decent today
I think storming the field here was appropriate bc of the WAY we won the game (come back, last second field goal), and the fact that it was against a ranked big name opponent.
They really need to fix the goal line fumble calls- given there are so many bodies down there it’s rare you ever get a clear replay of a player being down and the ball at the same time- today was about as clear of look you are ever going to get and the replay official still didn’t feel it was enough to overturn itIt was only 1 fumble but other than that your post is valid.
I haven't heard. Have we had a player with a return, pass, receive, and running TD before? How often does this happen in college football? Now Hank just needs to return an INT (he played some DB in HS and was good at it). Only half kidding.
The zebras protecting the big name programs might be the bigger issue at play here. Sc is a “blue blood” and they get lots of breaks. Same as OSU and Michigan over the years. They really need to fix the goal line fumble calls- given there are so many bodies down there it’s rare you ever get a clear replay of a player being down and the ball at the same time- today was about as clear of look you are ever going to get and the replay official still didn’t feel it was enough to overturn it
The normal officiating of letting the play run and treat all fumbles as live balls and let replay overturn it just doesn’t apply on the goal line. Plus it’s too devastating of a mistake when you don’t get the call right- I’d much rather have them have a quick whistle when momentum is stopped on goal line plays and overturn it only when it’s a clear fumble and recovery
