So he should have let him shoot a layup. That was the cheapest foul of the game.Coleman Hawkins, luckiest man in Illinois tonight.
His hand went up when there was 0.0 on the clock.I could be wrong, but does that ref get demoted for calling a foul with .2 seconds left?
In a BIG game?
You don't make that call, even in highschool. Cmon.

He said we didn't have enough talent to do what they did, pretty obvious we did.Going against #10 ranked team without our top two most talented players.
I agree, cheap. So he should have let him shoot a layup. That was the cheapest foul of the game.
That was not a tough shot for a guy that stands 6'8 inches. Other than Hawk, who did we have in the game that could have contested it?Eh, that was not a good foul. Even without the contact that's not a gimme layup. It's lower percentage in most circumstances than the charity stripe. We got lucky he missed the front end. I'm a big fan of CoHawk, but he messed that up. Luckily we didn't pay for it.
Hopefully Christie goes to the league after this season. Goode reminds me of a Johnson with a great shot. 4 years of pain and 3s.We did a great job on Christie tonight. He was only 1 for 8 from the floor and 2 points. Glad we signed Goode instead of him.
Of course, I am sure there will be one when I will want to retract that comment.
He called it with .00 on the clock, had to put some time back after the fact. The contact was 50/50, there was some body but that's it. you gotta keep the whistle in your pocket at the end unless it's absolutely obvious.I could be wrong, but does that ref get demoted for calling a foul with .2 seconds left?
In a BIG game?

Agree. Does anyone think Payne or BBV can eventually become offensive threats??What a win! Doesn’t matter how you close it out, just get it done.
Very happy to be wrong!Last time we take betting advice from you!

I'm not saying he shouldn't contest. That's the point. Contest without fouling. What happens if he makes it through the contact? Then you're suddenly on the verge of losing instead of maybe going to overtime. Also, guy's a 70% FT shooter. Was that even a 50% shot? Not if contested (without fouling)That was not a tough shot for a guy that stands 6'8 inches. Other than Hawk, who did we have in the game that could have contested it?
