Wasn’t pretty but I really liked how resilient we were today. Found points when it was tough and didn’t give up when they came back to take the lead. Great road win.
Also. Boy do I hate when a losing team hits 3s at the end of the game after we’ve been running out the clock for awhile. Especially when it makes a win look less impressive!

Pretty good. Won’t say I’m a fan of relying on Mayer or Shannon standing on their heads as opposed to getting theirs in the flow of the offense, but when it works it works. Absolutely loved the effort on D.
It's a Quad 1 win as it stands right now and at worse it'll be a Quad 2-A win. This really helps solidify us as being on the right side of the NCAA Tournament cut line. 10 regular season games left. Most important thing now is to win both games at home against Nebraska and Minnesota and thus avoid any "bad losses" on the resume. Lots of important games left to determine if a Top 4 seed in the Big Ten Tournament is in play.

I recall an interview with Mayer after the UCLA victory......TSJ's monster offensive game. MM said something like "It was a role reversal out there." (I thought instantly at that time ---- WOW! He must be routinely outplaying TSJ in practice!!!)
That's a great win for us. Incredible defense and a very big road win. Good response to Wisconsin's run and our ability to come out playing phenomenal defense back to back in big games leads me to believe we are beginning to show a major improvement in our game to game consistency on that end of the floor.
Final thought: Chucky Hepburn has to be the leader in garbage time stats in the B10. Seems to average 8ppg in the final 2minutes of games Wisconsin trails in.

favorite stat of the game: "undefined" assist/TO ratio for hawkins (2 assist/ 0 turnovers). Wasnt getting a lot of offensive looks but definitely impacted the game on D and the boards.

to be fair on TSJ.......2 of those were on ridiculous charge calls and another on a play where he got fouled and the refs changed the call to a travel after Gard barked at them.
Wisky being allowed to grab so much slowed down his greatest strength also, especially if powering through the hacks is called as a charge.
Another reason why I hate stopping playing. I understand why teams do it, but it makes no sense.
