PurDue absolutely had a lid on the basket tonight. That’s about as bad of shooting performance I’ve seen from a Big Ten team I awhile. Missed at least 4 layups

Well, hit the pause button at least...

It can be paused, but remember this....Haarms and Williams were absolutley nullified tonight. We won in large part due to the Boilers lack of big play and Eastern's lack of offense (he missed at least 6 point blank shots). Granted only 12 more points, but they needed them. Our defense didn't play a part in Eastern misses, in fact you could argue that our defense lapsed and let him get repeated point blank shots. He just didn't make us pay for the lapses.

Our best game of the year? Hope to see more like this. Everything we do looks a lot better when shots are going in.

Alan is a Star in the making. Love his passion, fight, and basketball IQ. Need more guys like him. His effort will hopefully spark the rest of the team.

The overreactions are going to swing wildly in the other(positive) direction tonight. If we lose at Madison, the pendulum will fire right back in the opposite direction.

Such is life in Illini fandom.
Not sure if Purdue has a very active message board but I'm sure their pendulum is on the wrong end right now. Point is, all fan bases tend to overreact to the great wins and the bad losses. Maybe that's why they call it being a "diehard" fan?!

His off the bench "dapping" is above par I hear also?

People who haven’t watched Big Ten or College Basketball for very long have no idea how tough it is to win on the road. Referee are reverting back to the early and mid to late 2000’s on how they are so much homers on calls.

Defense and rebounding showed me that BU got a message across. Shooting was avg. I expect the Illini play tonight to be standard......but.....too many times after a good run the ball got moved sloppily, cuts were lazy, focus was blurred, and effort was resting. That is the standard for this team for several years and I want to see smart play, hard cuts, consistent defensive focus and effort, and elimination of sloppy, inattentive passing and screening. But tonight, we learned that this team has athletes who can do those things. Will the coaches see it is done? Sure hope so. We are all tired of Illini teams instead of Fighting Illini teams who know how to play the game smart.

Don’t see any reason why AG shouldn’t play 25+ minutes a night. Hell, start him. Ge gives so much damn effort on every play. Love this team when it fights, and he brings that every opportunity he gets.
