Like that we won, yet serious question - would the team have been better off if Shannon had not come back?

I don’t know it’s maturity or optimism or schizophrenia, but a calm voice in my head that sounds like Morgan Freeman is telling me: “hey pal, we’ve hit a little stretch of ugly play and bad bounces at the rim. No big. Much better now than in late February, March. Have I ever told you the story of Andy Dufresne?”

We did what we had to do. Just barely. But a baked potato is one you can eat (and savor).

Enjoy your weekends, fam.
Where exactly are we in the sewer pipe of liberation? Close to the outlet, I hope. During the second half I feared we were still banging that rock trying to break into the conduit to begin our fetid escape.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa...whoa. I vividly remember punching a hole in a closet door watching the last of Weberball. I don't know if it was this bastard child of a game or not...but omg.

As ugly as today was it's important to note that nothing, and I do mean absolutely, positvely NOTHING will ever be worse than what we all had to endure watching...that.

WOW, NO !!!

If the goal was to win 1 or 2 games only (NW & IU), then maybe because a guys whole life's work is hanging in the balance, then maybe.

If the goals are to win the B10, B10 tourney, and finally to make the sweet 16 and have a shot at the NCAA tourney. Then hell no

That’s what Underwood quoted so may be hyperbole
It is what was recorded on the live stats. You can check it yourself on FightingIllini.com. But I agree it is difficult to wrap your head around. Guess the shots went in for our guys when he was on the floor.

I think the main thing driving how ugly we think this was can also be due to our crazy high with TSJ returning. Our expectations may be a tad much right now maybe.

They need to figure out a rotation when TSJ is off or in foul trouble. We shouldn't see Nicco over DGL again this year unless something wild happens.

I think Goode should have played ever minute he did today. I think you are wrong on him. I don’t think Harmon or Shannon was very good today. Rodger’s should have definitely played more.
I thought Dain’s defense was good today. But another 4 minutes of playing time

Well, sometimes you win ugly, but it still shows up as a W. We are getting very good at letting teams hang around. Missed way too many FT’s which let Indiana be in a position to win at end. Another game where we looked out of rhythm. Hopefully we get it back before too long. Otherwise it will be another disappointing post season.

I thought it was interesting during a timeout BU talked to a ref. Assistants tried to fill him off but he continued. After BU talked to the ref the ref talked to Woodson

From that point it seems like refs started to call things.

Also there was a possession where we drew three fouls on them. That was huge
I think fouls were 6-2 at that point IIRC, evened up real quick after that
