- how was I to know, she was with the Russians too?
Amazing how the love of sports can mean so much. I’m not a Cubs fan but got to enjoy their World Series win with my mom before she passed. Her excitement was infectious. Rest in peace to all of our departed Mamey’s!My grandmother raised me and is THE reason I'm a sports and Illini fan(as well as the Cubs, Bears, Bulls, and Blackhawks, but the Illini were her favorite out of all of them). We called her Mamey. She died on my birthday in 2021 from cancer. I never get that emotional, but I'm really emotional and teary-eyed right now. She would've LOVED this! I love you, Mamey! This is for you.![]()
I can't stop smiling. I'm so !!!!ing happy right now.
I stood up and moved to the right. Didn’t move after thatPut my Illini sweatshirt on as Andrej hit the layup to start the run. Sorry it took me so long everyone. Will NOT happen again!
“TAKE ME TO THE BALKANS, PLEASE!”The Balkan 5 moves on
Okay, late to the thread and still on page 1! Where the bourbon pics???
We owe each of em a beat down soAndrej was great tonight. The team was great. Who do you all want Dook or UConn?
Good for you to make that long drive to watch history! The officiating looked horrible in person. My mother-in-law confirmed it looked equally as terrible on TV.
Great atmosphere. Horrendous officiating. Illini win. Final Four birth. Well worth the last minute 7.5 hour drive.
Love hearing from the greats!
All Big Ten of course.
The announcers called out several blown calls. The officiating looked horrible in person. My mother-in-law confirmed it looked equally as terrible on TV.
That layup he made late off the lob from Keaton was not as easy as it looked. He was pretty under the basket and it took remarkable composure to gather himself and go up with it. Just very impressive shotmaking from him all game.Andrej = MVP
