It is too soon to look ahead, but fun to imagine anyway: which revenge game would be sweeter to win for a national championship? Michigan ('89 and Morez) or Arizona (given the cool stat that the last time we were here was after we won a fabulous victory over them in the E8, and the last time they were here was after they were gifted a victory over us in the E8?

not to be dramatic. but beating Michigan in the national title game after beating UCONN would change my life and probably cause me to pass out.

I just realized BU is now 8-2 in his last 10 NCAA tournament games.

My, how the narrative can flip in a hurry. And I have to admit helping build the old narrative. I didn't think BU would be able to get over the F4 hump. Now I am going to dig in deep and claim BU will never be able to win a title.

His success with Stephen F. Austin always made that a pretty silly narrative.

Along with so much else with the BU negativity, it ultimately grew out of people's inability to make their peace with us just laying a big fat egg against Loyola and what a terrible waste of an opportunity that was.

We blew it that day, but 40 minutes does not a program make (or break).

I am someone who was willing to hold onto that Loyola loss as long as possible when it came to Brad. I felt last year's team kind of reinforced the "no adjustments" mindset when it came to rotations and strategy.

It has felt different all year this year. I think I finally got negative after the B1G tournament loss to Wisconsin where we blew yet another large lead late and I just felt like the team was done. I had little doubt they'd make the Sweet 16, but I figured we'd lose to Houston in a close one.

That was until we played our first two games. We looked different. We attacked on offense and worked hard on defense and never let them even sniff a bit of hope to come back. This has been the finest coaching stretch of Brad's career and I think has absolved him (in my mind) of the Loyola game.

That team and the 21 team have been on completely different trajectories to end their seasons. This team kind of struggled to close games and their season, although their metrics were still very good. The 21 team could do no wrong to end the season but l couldn't figure out Loyola, who was much better than their seed.

I'm not sure what to expect against UConn. They are smart and well-coached and Reed scares me. I felt Duke had been struggling and while more talented, was more susceptible to being out schemed. It should be a great weekend and I couldn't be happier for the entire team!

Before the game… mature response by Stirtz, not so much the other two:

I think it's unfair to judge someone trying to give an answer in a language that isn't their first in front of cameras. I don't think he said anything wrong, just the truth: the season is long and they get a lot of scouting reports
