Was otherwise occupied last night, so just finished my Saturday AM watch:

-The Dain game. Admirable how he hasn’t given up on his season after essentially being out of the rotation earlier this year.
-When one of your first-team All B1G players has by far his worst game of the year and you still find a way to win-that’s a good sign.
-I don’t think we appreciate how unbelievable a rebounder Ty is. Pound-for-pound might be the best I’ve seen wear the O and B this century. No reason for him to not play 30 min from here on out.
-We have a TSJ; they don’t.

Feels good to be playing on Saturday of the BTT after a few year hiatus. Let’s beat Nebby.

Except that held ball call was a 3-5 point swing and was an AWFUL call. The baseline official with better angle had a foul, and the official looking through two other players and in front of the OSU bench overrules.

That was just terrible and at a big point in the game. That was an old Tom Rucker call, where the official nowhere near the play tries to big time it. Rucker spent years making calls like that, and it always infuriated me.
This was just BRUTAL…a clear example of the refs taking over a game. I couldn’t believe the Rucker wannabe overruled the ref closest to the play. I knew it was going to bite us & sure enough Battle immediately hits a 3. Brad was livid lol

ESPN highlights of the game are annoying. They just show the Battle go ahead 3 to make it 74-71 then us inbounding the ball and their half court heave for the last play of the game.

I thought I read BU's lips last night when he was livid and it seems he said to a ref " what did you say to me ".....I think it was when his son was holding him back on the sidelines.......I need to replay the game soon to see if it was live or memorex........

How about no more worst games from here on out

I am torn about how many games we should play in BTT. IMO, we should rest CH on bench from now on.

In the cold light of morning I'd like to thank whomever applied 220 volts to Coleman with ~ 90 seconds remaining. We won because of his actions at the margin (and Ty down the stretch) in that final 1:30. Boy's got to keep his head and heart in the game at all times. We can't afford another lapse like he had for nearly all of last night. Had a nice long drive to the hole in the first couple minutes and then vacillated between absent and malignant for the remainder until Brad sent him to the pine.

Also, how great is it that Dain could thrown down that performance in his hometown? And that Battle could, too. That guy's a joy to watch even when he's shredding us. I feel for OSU, as that's the team I expected to see this season and, if they'd played that way consistently, they'd be heading to the tourney. Props to Diebler for his coaching chops the past month. I hope good things happen for him.

Finally, if you want to see what another fan base apoplectic over the officials sounds like, head on over to Eleven Warriors and check out the postgame threads, including one devoted specifically to the massive foul differential. I perused it and chuckled. Apparently if you haven't been watching TSJ play this season, you're unaware that what looks to the layman (and, heck, even me at times) like a charge is almost always a blocking foul because the dude's combo of change-of-direction and acceleration makes it impossible to draw a charge.

Now let's got shuck some Huskers!

Every fan base gets apoplectic over the officials.

Of course our fan base is the only one that deserves to.

Ty is a terrific rebounder but I'd put Spoon ahead of him.

I am also worried about Coleman’s knee but the fact he could impact that game in that way with just 2 min tells me his struggle was as much mental as it was physical. Dain playing inspired ball should allow us to not ride Coleman as hard as we have this year (in theory) until the tournament if necessary.

Obviously have no idea where this is going but I feel better now than I did even in '21. On a terribly off night these guys found a way to overcome a 10-pt deficit in the final 10 mins and beat a white-hot OSU team. We're flawed but we've got the depth and seasoning in the upperclassmen so that, even if MD and CoHawk are way off, others can make a winning difference. BU just kept iterating last night and it paid off with a W.

I agree. He also did not look like anything was bothering him n the postgame celebration.

This. I think Dain can make impact in the tournament, too, especially when people try to stop Domask. Throw them a different look.

Our first team B1G player had an awful game and couldn't even hit layups. Our glue-guy do it all Center was also awful for 38 minutes of that game.

Good thing we also had another All American caliber player to drop 28!
