Rj for the season average 3.8 pts per game! Fact. To much hyperbole on the young man who wasn't even healthy for most of the year last year.

Simple, I love him and his potential, after a entire season of shooting 20%. Basketball IQ? Seriously, he knows he can jump 40 inches, dribble drive and dunk on anyone in league. Why so long to start doing it? That cures your game, gives you spirit and confidence. I've learned you keep doing the thing that doesn't work. It becomes your results. But alas, he has always worked hard at defense and rebounding, and being a great teammate. I like you, think by his senior year he will be a key member of the Illini core!

Credit to Brad for giving RJ a second and third chance. A lot of coaches (and a lot of fans) would have moved on. Hope he continues to improve going into March
It seems like RJ and BU get along well. From the outside it seems like BU is hard on him because he sees the potential but respects the little things that RJ does. It doesn’t seem like a sour relationship after the suspension

I've never actually tried to get the nuggets, because... mcnuggets, but I LOVE the fans going nuts on a second miss with the other team trying to figure out why everyone is going nuts. It's always great for a laugh. If something bumps up the energy and noise in SFC then I like it.
No, it’s hilarious to me how wound up folks get about it. And the o/u on how many times the announcers mention it is like 2.5 and the over hits quite often…

I'll stop short of predicting he will be a March difference maker, but if he can come off the bench (after TSJ returns) and give us that kind of effort on the boards and defense......he will be a March difference maker.

Really see RJ as a potential improved version of TJ. Extremely good moving defensive player and looks to score. With Jayden, Dain, Ty, Sencire and Luke, solid returning players. Moretti with some experience and a possible Hawk Along with the addition of Hansberry and DGL make for another outstanding defensive team and possibly an improved offensive team. Just don’t want any of them transferring.

Every word of this entire post is exactly how I feel.
