After all the hand wringing and questions about BU's coaching chops last season and early this season, it's time to have that same type of reaction on the positive side after reading about what he's doing with this years team.
It's not just impressive, it's possibly unprecedented, and amazing. Lock this staff in place JDubs! The future is bright!!

Good coaches learn as well as the players. However knowing what to change and how is even more difficult. Have to believe his assistants also deserve credit. Problem with players and assistants doing well is they leave for better opportunities. Antigua and Kofi top my ādonāt want to loseā list.

I think this season demonstrates that there was reason to question his system but not reason to question his coaching ability. Clearly his old system wasn't working and we questioned why he wasn't making changes, which would signal poor coaching. The thing is, he recognized exactly that and did make changes. That is good coaching.
So, in hindsight, posters were justified to question his system but (seemingly) not his coaching ability. There's still a lot left to be written here, of course.
I'm thinking that this team's potential is higher than any team we've had since 2005. To add to that, there is no great team or teams in the NCAA this year. More parity both in the league and in the NCAA.

I'm definitely not suggesting he shouldn't have been under scrutiny, but the manner and substance (or lack thereof) with which some posters tried to vilify him were clearly thoughtless and out of frustration.
IMHO it now should tilt the other way. The same emotions should be exerted in showering him (and the staff) with very high praise.

As I mentioned in the game thread, this team...100%...can win six straight games on a neutral court in March. I'm not suggesting it will happen, but with Trent at the point, Ayo off the ball, Kofi, and now G I O R G I starting to have success in his role...the pieces are in place and functioning at a very high level.
We all know that teams with great point guard play do very well in the tourney. Trent is giving us that now.
We went from 40 to 32.
We had a very young team last year and then we add Kofi this year. They had to get used to playing together, define rolls and then the confidence rises. This is going to be a very fun season!
The Boilers have officially entered the danger zone.
Griffen apologized to the team/staff at half. He know/admits he screwed up royally. Kids do dumb things, he'll sit a bit and hopefully grow from it.

Does Edwards get 10% of Painters earnings from the past 4 years?
Two TOs in the last 7 games!! Takes the immediate ball pressure off of Ayo. He's still on the ball a ton, but the pressure is off. Trent was a monster, but so were Kofi and Ayo, and really Giorgi in the 2nd half as well. You have to love PU posters calling us the best team in the league! Painter was hugely complimentary as well. People who haven't gotten on the bandwagon get, best do so soon. The train is leaving the station.
Don't forget Ryan Kline drilling 3s all the time either. I din't think that they could replace those two guys and they haven't.
And don't forget Haas, Mathias, Swanigan, and Vincent Edwards. To be honest and not to minimize last night's win, but this is not a very good Purdue team compared to the last 5 or 6 years,

We were talking about that last night after the amazing win. I wouldn't want to be AG having to explain that to Adrian....ouch. I know how pissed I'd be if my son/daughter did something that stupid!
This Purdue team beat Michigan State by 29.
