Everybody played great tonight, even though the threes (uh, and free throws) were not falling as much as you'd like. Grandison snapped out of his shooting funk and Frazier should be next. Plummer... he has several shots that looked dead on and just rimmed out. Super perimeter defense from everyone.

As for Wisconsin... have to admit I felt pretty confident when I got a look at the scrawny dude who would be guarding Kofi. Really impressed with Wahl. That guy is a gamer and very agile. Davis may be good but I thought he spent the whole night hunting for fouls tonight and trying to get the star treatment.

And what about the refs??? Lol. Haven't heard anyone complain about the refs for once. I barely thought about them during the game.

KingKofi, 16-19 Shooting. Is this HighSchool?just Wow 16 of 19 shots. POY!!!
Kofi missed the first 3 games of the year and 2 because of concussion. I sure wish he had played those games and Belo was on the floor most of the games. I think he would certainly be POY if he and Belo had more minutes.

Updated EM standings after today's results:

Illinois maintains their slight lead on Purdue, mostly on defense from tonight, putting them a close 2nd in defensive efficiency to Indiana (who we'll see next).

Purdue and MSU are right there overall, with Purdue's offense leading the pack and MSU being similar offensively and defensively to Illinois.

Indiana, Ohio State and Michigan in a cluster in the next tier, all contenders slightly below the big 3.

Wisconsin and Iowa are a step below that, Iowa winning a few big games and losing all the close ones, and Wisconsin doing the opposite.

Rutgers still surprisingly 6-5 in the B1G, but their schedule will get brutal starting...now (next 8 games: vs MSU, vs OSU, @ WIS, vs IL, @ PU, @ MICH, vs WIS, @IU).

Maryland, NW and PSU are playing spoilers for the contenders.

Minnesota keeps looking less and less like a spoiler and more and more like a cupcake.

Nebraska is getting more competitive, and they'll steal a win or two yet this season.

Kofi in his interviews talks like he has had 5 pots of coffee all by himself. Somebody need to tell him to slow down. He had an absolute beast mode night. I hope he does something like that at Indiana and Purdue going forward
He doesn't need to slow down how he talks!!!! that's who he is brother, that's who he is as a person and that's wonderful. That's like telling me not to have a deep voice, use the words like freaking or Marine Corps terms because certain people don't like it!!!!!! that's who you are and he sounds wonderful I can't believe you said that. I think you can make millions off of it!

With no evidence whatsoever, I’m speculating some supervisor of officials from the B1G went over the Purdue game video with these refs. There is no other explanation for the change.
One can only hope. If so, kudos. I hope they continue to call games like they did tonight. Make the league about the players and let them play instead of slanting calls to make games close until the end.

I was a little confused by Curbelo sittin pretty much the entire second half! with the towel on his head on the bench? Maybe I was wrong and people there can correct me I hope he still doing well!!!!!
BU still limiting his minutes. No signs yet tonight of any issues.
