So many positives tonight:
1) defense (especially first shot defense) was so much better tonight. We didn't rebound great and did ok in transition d, but you'll take 61 to Iowa all day.
2) Healthy/good Tomi changes the dynamic of this team. He is more important than KJ because when Tomi plays well, KJ plays better. I think Tomi is the most important piece to this team. It's a ripple effect, good Tomi = good KJ = less on Kylan and therefore better Kylan, and so on.
3) An aggressive but under control Tre and Kylan raise the ceiling of this team so much. Keep attacking the rim!
4) Way less TO's and way more assists. This is in part because KJ played so much more under control.

Biggest criticism- I know we've been bad lately but the crowd was absolutely pathetic tonight. At one point in the first half KJ tried to get the crowd into it and almost everyone stayed seated. Then for the final possession of the half, up 7, Iowa ball, normally that place would be rockin- It was crickets and the crowd was literally sitting down. I was a bit ashamed to be honest.

Go Illini- Somehow win 1/2, grab 1 or 2 wins in the Big Ten Tourney, give us a 6 seed and let's goooo

Man a win feels so much better

Huge win. Was nice to go back to see a home game and us winning by double digits. The defense played much better and needs to continue that as we head into post season. Kylan was really solid tonight and he needs to do more of what he did tonight which is attacking the rim. Good bounce back from Tomi as well. Will needs to continue to start over Ben. Rebounding has me worried. Whenever Morez or Tomi is out the rebounding takes a major hit. We got Vlad Godin and Danny Wolf up next so rebounding is crucial.

Feel like this team success really hinges on Riley and White. Sure, if Tomi isn't there we go nowhere. But Riley being a major factor and White being able to hit the 3 ball in addition to his cutting will dictate what happens with this season.

Good win....a much needed win! only negative I will say, is DGL's body language did not look great at all. Hate to think Purdue might be his last home game. Something tells me he is gonna have a lot to prove that night.....towards both teams.

Glad to see Riley get the starting nod. It seems like it helped Humrichous as well(especially in the 2nd half). Let's keep this lineup going. It was pretty effective. The 2nd unit slipped there halfway through the 1st half but Brad adjusted and got a few of the starters back in there. Good bounce back game and this one cemented an NCAA bid. With more practice time, hopefully they can pick up another win or two before the B10 tournament. It is do-able. Michigan isn't such a juggernaut

Finally! A sensible starting lineup.
Amen, Brother. Only took coach BU 29 games to finally start his best five players. Better late than never, I guess. Hummer off the bench looked OK. Tries hard on defense but not athletic enough to guard at this level. Maybe I am wrong, but have posters been mentioning for the last several months that Hummer not start and have limited minutes?

Really hoping Tre sticks with the team for next year. Love his game.

When he’s not forcing things … He’s a really, really good player … Thought his looks from corner 3 were good … He attacked the basket with power …

If I had to give one thing I’d like to see improve from him and honestly our team as a whole … It’s definitely rebounding …

he was a damn good rebounder early in the season. 6 boards a game.
