Had to check out the NU board to see their reaction and good to know we have company as crazy fans. First thread I see is "It's time to move on from Collins" - the same Chris Collins who if you read our game thread was outcoaching Underwood something fierce in the 1st half. And the same Chris Collins who I thought was on the fast track to a big-time job.

Ohio State may not be among the conference elite but they're not going to be an easy out.
There is not a single B1G team that is an "easy out" if they come to play with a plan and energy for 40 minutes. Illini tonight against NW were about as easy an out as you will see in the B1G......for 20 minutes. The bottom feeders will rip you a new one....as MSU learned in their home game tonight....and it likely cost them a chance at the B1G title and maybe a tourney bid. This is the Big Ten conference....the elite basketball conference in the country...and ALL FOURTEEN schools have put major resources into their programs, hired competent coaches and staff, and built outstanding facilities to attract fans and promote a positive experience for their fans and support for their team.....top to bottom....and many schools have rested in both places quite recently....mainly the Fighting Illini. NW is the smallest enrollment of them all, but they still dream big. Nebraska is learning their lessons fast. And even Rutgers decided they did not like being the red-headed step child. Illinois has had a strong hardwood history, but it is still....and should be...a humble one. Banners....got plenty....no natty yet. Five stars....got them...no NBA MVPs yet. Hall of Famers....got them too. No GOATs yet. But we stay as rabid as those second rate, run and gun, no defense playing, cheating, chair throwing, foul-mouthed, Hoosiers with a lot more dignity. Our time will come. But for Pete sake, don't get beat by any team that will stoop low enough to wear purple!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone catch the left jab to the chin by Ayo on that dunk attempt? I think he was telling Kopp, Illinois will always be Chicago’s team.

Safe to complain about the equipment staff now? I mean what in the actual *bleep*! We can't spell our own player's name right? C'mon Josh!
I could care less....if they can play 40 min. every night like they played the last 20 tonight...Dosumnu it is!!

Plucked this from the NW Rivals board. I was joking when I said we made them look worse than Chicago St in the 2nd half. Turns out we actually did do just that!

Did I say they were going to be easy? NO! They've lost 3 in a row on the road and haven't played in a while and haven't played well in a while either. I do know that.

I strongly like our chances at home over them. Now if you got a problem with that then I can't help you. Goodness.

Northwestern press game similar to their court game.

If we get second half Frazier and Adam Miller, we are as good as anyone not named Gonzaga. Sorry guys I think this season is a formality. Gonzaga is unreal.
2014 Kentucky says hello.

Miller looked great today. Defense was really strong. Confident on offense.
First three by Frazier in 2nd half was best shot I’ve seen all year from him. Looked great. Got the team rolling!
Entertaining 2nd half!

This is crazy. In a single game elimination tournament like the NCAA Tournament Gonzaga is not a formality. There have been so many teams in the history of the NCAA tournament like Gonzaga that failed to win it all. For you to say this is absolutely ridiculous. They are not a lock. Especially considering we're talking about Gonzaga who has been to 1 Final Four in it's history

We lack killer instinct.
Prior to tonight, absolutely. And I don't know how you can come away from that game without being concerned about our first half performance. We can be good and still have consistency and intensity issues. It's not binary.

I do love reading the game threads after I’ve watched the game. Now I know our top 7 players suck; Frazier, Miller and Giorgi really suck, Underwood sucks, and we have at least 2 or 3 posters who are three times the coach Underwood is.

Took the team awhile to get going, but when they did — Oskee Wow Wow. Not sure I want Miller leading the team in shots, but love how his game as a whole is coming along. He might not be putting up the offensive numbers we’d like but his all-around game has really looked good of late.

Really don’t understand all the negativity about Trent. His first two years he was a volume scorer. This year and last he’s been asked to change his game for the better of the team and he’s done that. Loved what Kofi said about Trent in the presser — basically that Trent wants to hold everyone to 0 points. Oh, and by the way, he’s shooting basically the same percentages this year as he did in his sophomore year.

My favorite play by Bello was when he hid in the corner when NW passed the ball in under our basket. He came from nowhere, intercepted the pass, and scored. It happened so fast, I bet a lot of people didn't even see it happen.
