Almost lost my mind on Hamer telling them not to foul on that last sequence ... What a stupid decision ...

Almost as stupid as Willard's decision making down the stretch ...

But we got the W ... That is all I care about ...

On to Penn State ... Who per sources will be without their leading scorer ... He did not play today and did not travel with the team ...

Expecting another W ... But for now I shall enjoy this one ...

Wait, when was Hamer doing this? Were we going to foul late or something?

Honestly didn't play much differently than they did a week ago at MSU, but ended better, particularly defensively. Overall not a great game defensively (80 points allowed in 70 possessions), mostly due to constant and-1s, bailout fouls, and first half drives to the rim. Adjusted on Young at halftime, forced him into a ton of tough shots.

Got outrebounded, though, which kept the game close, along with the aforementioned fouls. Officials weren't doing them any favors, but it's a road environment, can't let it beat you, and it didn't.

It was under a minute left ... TJ was at the line for FTs and right before DHS hit that 3 ... Hamer stood up and gave the no foul signal ... Not Brad ... Hamer ...

In that situation ... I am 100000% fouling ... Because of exactly what happened ... DHS hits that 3 ...

Literally was losing my mind ...

Disrespectful body language with the pointing by Willard there.
The way it looked, IMO:

1.Must of knew he screwed up.
2. So he vents and mouths off to Shannon for calling him out.
3. Then his body language changes after he’s made himself look like even more of a mutt for escalating the incident with Terrence. That’s when he tries to play it off/laugh it off.

Sorry for my ignorance, but does this guy have the chops to be this involved on the bench? Have not heard of him before the last two weeks. Do the players listen to him?

Was a little bit of poor situational awareness on Harmons part too. No need to sag off and lose your man there. Should basically just be denying the 3 at that point.

My husband, who would admit he's not a sports tactician in the least, was on about this, too. When the dude who tells you he doesn't know anything is questioning you... 😬

The pointing was definitely a bad look but I assumed from the smile that he was telling Shannon there was no way he was gonna get there in time.

Hawkins over helped on that play, leaving Scott open. Hummel called it when he said Scott was a guy you don’t leave open behind the arc. I think you play good defense, but make sure you don’t give an and one.

Tyler's not the problem ... He coordinates the offense ...

As for the other ... I agree ... Been pretty vocal about it ...

Brad knows ... He sees it ... Just gotta let it play out ...
When you type "gotta let it play out . .", I hope it doesn't mean Hamer will continue his thing and it will take another huge loss (because of defense) to have BU make a change?

Devils advocate..and im gonna go a little nerd here, but Probablity wise though, in this game wasnt Hamer right? Especially given we were up 6 and not like 3?

Before that 3, they were 3/17 so less than a 20%, so the expected value of a 3 was like half a point. THey were 80% from the line so the EV of 2 fts is 1.6....

Of course you can go off "worst" case and just go 3 vs 2...but i think there can be two reasonable schools of thought on this one in this game.

Plus, you say DHS hit the 3? He's shooting 19% on the year
