Why would Frazier want to leave this in Ft. Lauderdale one more year?

Curbelo came close to averaging a triple/double in HS his Junior year. 15.5/8 rbs/9 assists. Rebounds will be his challenge at 6'0".
Idk about that last part. His jumping ability makes up for the height. There were several instances yesterday were he just went up high and got the rebounds.

We don't give Jacob Grandison enough credit. He has been a good player this year. I don't remember him missing a free throw. Has hit some threes and has crashed the boards. The MSU game was the first game that Ill has lost since he was inserted as a starter. Will be good to have him around next year.

I'd be a lot more concerned about losing Damonte and Trent if we didn't have Grandison. Happy we have him. Gives us some balance with new faces and vets next year.

He has been a fantastic addition this year. He attacks the offensive glass much like AG did last year. He has missed a couple of FTs this year, but he is about as automatic at the line as Trent.

Watching that post game presser with Underwood... I'm ready to run through a wall for that guy!!! Guys, I hope you all can appreciate that we have an "Elite" coach here!

Very proud to be an Illini

According to Yahoo Sports Grandison is 17 of 18 at the line. I'm fairly certain the stats have updated with the Huskers game. Jacob was 6 of 7 in that one. So yea that was his first miss of the year. Not bad. Those offensive boards were killer. Coach mentioned in the presser. Nice dunk there too. Keep it up young man. We need you.

Agreed. I don't understand these, "we need to keep Hawk happy" takes. For a lot of these guys, yes playing with your friends is a perk, but they're going to make an independent decision.

Also, Hawkins gets an appropriate amount of tick. He's going to be good, but he's playing the role he was promised for this year. His family is also very bought in.
He's a player, understands the game, just needs to get stronger and get some experience at this level. The Big10 this year is not for the faint of heart, particularly if you are playing anywhere near the paint

Loved the Underwood presser. He got his shots in (Izzo, B10, Michigan, and every one was well deserved) without speaking directly. He’s a “bit” prone to hyperbole when praising players, but this one seemed more focused and heartfelt than just coach speak. I’m also glad he’s taking an even stronger stand for Kofi and the rough play. I’ve never liked that brand of basketball and the B10 has a long history of letting it go too far.

This offseason could do wonders for CoHawk. He's 15-20 pounds away from being a significantly more effective player.
Once upon a time guys would red shirt while they developed their bodies/games. I think Coleman will be an absolute stud with weight and strength. Older guys overwhelm him right now...that will change.

Totally agree with all points but gotta say I lol'd when he called Grandison elite. Like I love Grandy but c'mon now this is getting ridiculous 😂

He actually missed a free throw last night that rimmed out, but in all seriousness, all his shots look so pure.

I would LOVE to know what Tom Izzo and Brad Underwood said to each other about this. Brad does not seem happy about the conversation whatsoever.
Me too man. I also would like to know Brad's response. As most of us would love to have some choice words with the guy, I feel like BU handled it with class. He handles all things in a dignified matter, not sure if this is any different.
That being said. I love our coach.

Tell me about Trent's technical. Per the box score he had one. Was it when he threw the ball at a Nebraska player or when he ripped the ball out of the Nebraska player's hands?

I noticed that Bardo and co. spoke very definitively about this being Senior Night and the last time Trent and DMW would play in the Champaign. Could be a production decision just to treat this game like any other Senior Night in a regular season, but I was wondering if Bardo is privy to some insider info wrt to their future. Bardo's comments about Trent were very moving - first in his family to go to college; going to put future generations of family on a successful trajectory. (Bad paraphrasing is on me, I didn't rewatch it, lol). Very happy to have had the pleasure of watching Trent and DMW. Very proud too that Tyler scored a bucket, Zach played quality minutes and snagged a rebound, and Ayo kept his head high and was a class act about missing out on the game. And screw Izzo.

Trent was on the ground. Nebraska player threw the ball at him. Trent threw it back, and got T'd up.

Teddy Allen threw the ball to him on the ground and Trent threw it back.
Edit: what @JFGsCoffeeMug said.
Edit #2: see what @nycillini has to say. I clearly have no clue, lol
