I complained about that first hal so gotta give major props on that 2nd half. When this team gets after it on the defensive end, it opens up so much offensively. Great win fellas.

When they start stacking those little 7-0 blitzes, they crush teams FAST. It's been a long time since I've expected an Illini team to score every time they get the ball across the time line.

Quincy Guerrier ... I think has been the MVP of our season ... I mean that dude is playing at such an elite level ... Might be the best cutter that Brad has had ...

Crashes the glass every possession ... Makes open shots ... Never question his effort ... Not hunting for shots ... Just the complete opposite of a certain guy we had last year ...

I just keep thinking about how he was the missing piece on that 2020-2021 team ... And how if Brad had him all 5 years ... How good would this dude be ...

Special player ... Really enjoy watching him play ...

I think what impressed me the most was how active we were on the boards, particularly in the second half. There were times that we were the only team around the basket for offensive boards. Just beautiful.

Also fun to watch our guys come flying in for second chance points. We stay healthy and focused, we can play with anyone, and everyone should be scared of us

Coleman Hawkins was ranked by 247 as the 49th best PF in his class.
Not player... 49th best Power Forward.
Watching him blossom into a bonafide star has been a lot of fun.

I know they are different players and obviously different positions...

But rankings-wise... I fully expect to be sitting here in 2-3 years and we are saying the exact same thing about Jase Butler ...

One day, Juwan Howard will finally seek help. Maybe his family will convince him. Maybe it’ll be a call from Chris Weber, like, “Ima keep it real with you, Wan. Mike Vick’s dogs were more emotionally stable than you. Go see a professional.”

And when Juwan finally makes it to that therapist’s couch, a whole lot of sessions will be spent describing a recurring nightmare about a burly man in an orange jacket with a big menacing grin, repeatedly and repeatedly and repeatedly beating his ***.
