You get yourself to a Sweet 16 and anything can happen. To make the Sweet 16 like we did is special. To meet or exceed our fanbases expectations is truly special. But to peaking and playing your best basketball at the right time? You have an opportunity to do something historic, something a rabid fanbase full of absolute lunatics have dreamt every day of but never seen. Something so extraordinary it can only be compared to events like the Cubs winning their first Series in 100 years or the Miracle on Ice. Only 4 wins between you and living forever as folk heroes, statues included. And it starts on Thursday. Bring everything you have against Iowa State Thursday, thin go and shock the world.

Just want to make an appreciation observation. Having had the opportunity to go to the BTT, I was struck by how many family members of the players were in attendance. I know that our guys now make over-the-table money and all, but these are regular people making regular money who are traveling all over the country to support their kids. It’s part of why college hoops is so much better than NBA. We’ve had plenty of commentary on over-zealous moms and such on here… but let’s raise a glass to the dads, moms, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, and cousins that represent the orange and blue in the stands.
