18 points on 6-10 from the field, got to the line 7 times, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, a steal and a block. Pretty pretty good.
Indeed! But maybe somebody should give him a nod or something when he goes to the line. Iirc, his first was back iron three times. It got to the point that I "knew" he was gonna miss the first one.

It was a big time win. The 3 pt. shooting was no surprise, given the wide open looks we got; great ball movement made that happen....KJ is the real deal and maybe a reliable go-to guy late in close games. Riley got schooled by big, strong defenders; he almost looked lost out there. Given how young he is, there's plenty of time to develop. You leave Tomi open on the perimeter and he will make you pay. Not much to complain about defensively either. Now is the time to strap it on for the next 3 games.

Pretty quickly. Calipari was washed at Kentucky with better talent than he will get at Arkansas. He also doesn’t understand modern offensive basketball. I don’t think Arkansas makes the tournament. They have no shooting.

I wonder how long until Arkansas' fanbase gets sick of Calipari? I don't think that Calipari is going to be very successful in this potential final stint of his coaching career. I can't imagine him having the success that Muss had in the long run. Where was Johnell Davis at? Is he just mailing it in or not being utilized properly?
He’s shooting a lot less than at FAU. Or, more accurately, he’s shooting far fewer 2-point shots, which has led to fewer chances at the line. Whether that equates to being not used properly remains to be seen. He did have 6 assists (season high) and 2 steals, so talk of him “mailing it in” is ridiculous it would seem.

I didn't see that! What happened?
End of the game instead of dribbling out the clock, KJ just kind of left the ball behind him. He was still pretty much between ball and defender, but Ark guy might have been able to pick it up and go down for layup. Looked like Kylan said “nah dude” (sentiment, not actual words) and KJ picked up ball and held it until 0:00. Obviously points wouldn’t have impacted game outcome, but looked a little disrespectful — though don’t think that was KJ’s intent.

For most of the game, the ball movement was really impressive (to me, anyway). I kept wanting to say, hey, this kinda reminds me of that clip from 2005...

yeah, impressive. even more so because it's still early and our guys didn't start playing together all that long. says that they've bought in. good shots being passed on for better ones, ball doesn't stick, very little hero ball, guys really, really want to win. I suspect this game is gonna be pretty huge on the camaraderie and bonding front too. we've gone from thinking we can be an elite team to knowing it. sky is the limit, enjoy the ride

If adou theiro doesn’t get like 7 or more lebron flops in this game Illinois might have won by 25-30 points theiro shot one less ft than the whole Illini team wtf

He should've shot more- missed front end of some 1 & 1s

We can make the argument about the calls... but he was a matchup problem. JMO - don't think Morez on him would've been the worst idea.

We don't really have the big, versatile wing this year who can lockdown (especially now that Ty's gone). Gonna have to figure that out.

On the positive side, don't think we'll have much of a concern this year about big guys going off in the post night in and night out. Better this year than leaving Coleman 1 on 1.

I gotta call out the comments about this being a team built to develop and succeed in future years, said as a way of reconciling lack of confidence with the need to appear positive.

This bunch has it, is only going to get better, and then will be playing in the NBA immediately thereafter.

What a sweet win yesterday. Wire to wire. KJ, Ivisic and Kylan continue to impress. Nice to see us put up 90 without a great game from Will.

Jake and DGL hitting a shot off the bench. Morez is a dawg!

Still hoping the staff and get the best out of Tre White - we will need him in the conference games.

Man, Kasparas is a player if he can just keep the TOs down. Can't find any much more of a weakness outside of that. So complete offensively. His D's been ahead of pace as well IMO.
Seems like at least once a game the ball is stolen while he is standing out front dribbling the ball. Why is he doing that that? Waiting for the offense to position? Analyzing the defense? Just doesn’t work against quick guards.

Liked the Tre White/Josh Hart mention on air. Stat line doesn't show the overall husle/defense/denials he presents. We are gelling great and winning, he is a part of this.

All players are settling into roles. can see him having a more impactful stat line second half of season

There must have been a rift in the fabric of space-time during this game, because we experienced a little bit of time travel.

For stretches of the game, a window seemed to open to a vision of our future. An international all-star team suddenly performing at maturity. A stunningly dynamic assortment of weapons working in fluid cohesion.

Ivisic, a suddenly decisive big man with pure, instinctive shots from deep.

Boswell, a bull dog off of any kind of leash, delivering all those weightroom hours directly into the chest of every defender.

Humrichous, an unthinking 3pt generating machine.

And KJ, with his performance down the stretch, teaching all the Arkansas fans watching how they say “goodnight” in Lithuanian.

Everything working all at once.

(And this is still just the beginning).

This season bout to be crazy fun.

Happy Thanksgiving, y’all!
This. How scary muist it be to face a team that can have 5 players that can shoot the 3 on the floor at the same time. In many different combinations.

I didn't even encounter any resistance from my Thanksgiving crowd for putting this game on instead of the NFL. Of course, this was right after another Bears' Eberloss. I just hope my Pittsburgh family contingent watched the game 😁
