Too bad poll voters don't do a modicum of research about the teams they have the privilege to vote for each week. But I digress. Great win by the team today and a good resume builder. We sure look good when shots fall, and our D was pretty good despite the "fouls" every time one particular Razorback barreled into the lane out of control.

I’m here for the poster that said we win 0 of Ala, Ark, Tenn.

And once again…..file this receipt….todays Boswell takes us to the Sweet 16.

Thanksgiving indeed.
They posted on page 4. No mention of their bold prediction.

Humble Pie on plate with a clean fork.

Finally home from the family festivities and I can't wait to read all about what we all watched. Happy Thanksgiving, friends!

We win by 25 if they don't give Thiero a trip to the line every time he goes near a defender. He's definitely a baller and some trips were warranted but there were others where he would just throw himself horizontally into folks in what didn't appear to be a genuine move to score.

Watched the post game press conferences. Coach Cal is an egomaniac. He holds no responsibility when his teams loses. His overpaid salary at UK crushed his career. I will be surprised if he ever wins a conference or national championship again. To much frustration in his voice. People do not follow frustration, they follow confidence.

The one where he drew a foul call for spraining his own ankle was a particularly interesting one.

I think it took him a couple games to realize that he could get in the lane and finish. He didn't really have a lot of space to do that at Arizona. Also maybe a couple games to figure out that he has to be the LEADER of this team in terms of toughness for them to reach their potential.
Ballo had the lane all clogged up. That’s what is so great about Tomi. He can clear out of the middle. Boswell really impressed me. Tough guy on both ends.

The game is basketball...not dunkball. When players put the ball in the basket with high regularity, they usually win. Athleticism helps, but shooting % determine the winner most of the time. This Illini team has a bunch of guys who can shoot at an above avg. rate. Get them confident and it happens consistently. The biggest challenge to their success will be their adaption to defending the best teams. The did a pretty good job against Arky, but when they get confident and efficient on defense, they will be a tough out for anyone.

That’s a heck of a sales pitch.

My expectations were kind of tempered of what these guys could do. Today was a statement. KJ and Tomi were sublime. This team just keeps getting better.

If anyone was wondering… we have a heck of a coach.
Coach, staff, AD, all of it. My Illini heart is bursting with joy at what Whitman on down have built. Are building.

IIRC, we had a player who did that pretty well last year. Smart basketball.

Boswell made Fland a complete non-factor. Dude is guarding at an elite level.
I have said this before, but I went back and watched the last game that Bam Bam played for Arizona when they got beat by Clemson in the NCAA tournament and there was only one shot made the whole game by the offensive player that Bam was guarding. I knew then that we had a winner.
