And 2nd in assists and 3rd in rebounds.
Going into the season, we though our best players would be Stojakovic, Tomi, and Kylan. Those guys have been good (when healthy), but Keaton is easily our best player now.

Al dente orribile?I lost track of time during dinner because I somehow chipped a tooth eating lasagna. Explain that one.
He was extremely complimentary of Illinois the entire game. Not sure what was annoying about him.
Sleepers did an excellent podcast about this before the Missouri game. Offensively our most efficient lineup has Keaton, Mirk, and Jake Davis in it. Ben can be interchanged for Jake pretty easily as they offer the same skillset offensively. Jake and Ben aren't great off the dribble like Andrej and Kylan are so the ball sticks way less when they are in the game. Missouri also went to a bit of zone when both Jake and Ben were on the floor which was mind blowing to me because it allowed for a couple of easy three point attempts especially when Jake, Ben, and Keaton were hitting like they were last night.I believe we had a Jake + Ben lineup during good stretch in the Texas Tech game as well as the Tennessee game in the 2nd half
Would like to see some more analysis on this, its something we've had to go to a few times... while its been successful, it certainly shouldn't be something we are trying to line up deliberately
There has been a little griping about the emphasis on efficiency metrics lately as well as some skepticism about their value.Up to 9 in KenPom, but more importantly, that moved our overall adjusted efficiency margin to +29.40.
For context, TJs Elite 8 team ended at +24.53. Our efficiency this year would have been good enough for a 1 seed that year.
Even our 1 seed Ayo team ended the season at +29.06, so we’re entering “Brad’s best team ever” territory.
Unpopular opinion... but I'd rather have Ty for the entirety of the 2028 season than for one month in 2026, not even at 100%.He’s been doing more and more lately … Man on a mission … Hope we can get that kid back …

Also getting lots of looks from NBA scouts:And 2nd in assists and 3rd in rebounds.

It was a 43 point victory. A perfect opportunity to give him some run if you don't necessarily trust him.Pepe he gave mizzou a TO that lead to 2 points immediately upon his entry into the game. He had a nice dish for an open 3 after the TO.
Petro's playing time is all on him to figure out.
I know everyone will look at the shooting, scoring, etc... to me literally the three most important things with him: 1) doesn’t turn the ball over 2) one of your best rebounders 3) one of your best defenders. As the PG, that ITSELF is enough value to keep you on the court every game, regardless of the game to game variance of shot making.Honestly just can’t believe how good that kid is
Bonus points for playing a style that’s very appealing as well
Could be wrong, but I believe the only way you can get a second redshirt (medical redshirt) is if you miss two seasons due to injury.Unpopular opinion... but I'd rather have Ty for the entirety of the 2028 season than for one month in 2026, not even at 100%.
Either way, him putting that work in to get back is so contrary to the Tucker Devries/Rodney Rice of the world.
Kyle's been way too wordsy.
This 100%.I know everyone will look at the shooting, scoring, etc... to me literally the three most important things with him: 1) doesn’t turn the ball over 2) one of your best rebounders 3) one of your best defenders. Where this differs from KJ a year ago (which I know everyone's skeptical of) is that two of the three aspects I mentioned were not nearly up to par with what we've seen from Wagler (turnovers and defense).
Now add in the scoring, shot making, shooting 43% from three.... now you've got one of the best players in the conference.
He has been hurting since Tennessee game injury. Sit him, physical therapy, and rest. We need everyone and he is huge.Whatever is needed to get Boswell healthy, do it. If it means he misses the Southern game, do it. I think his shoulder is still an issue. Get that right if it’s possible.
But what if his playing time why he is displaying those qualities now?Tomi has tremendous skills. All I was saying is Big Z needs to play more than he has thus far. He has additional length to disrupt in the paint and seems to play with more emotion/passion/fire. Great teams play with emotion and passion. Like I've said here on several occasions. I think we're a thick big paint protector/rebounder away from being a Final 4 team. If Big Z can help fill that role in a different way b/c of this length/height it will come in very handy. This is where we miss Morez. I just think Big Z is the closest thing we have to a paint/rim protecting big man who can make the kind of difference that could give us a deep run. He doesn't have to be our best or second best player or anything like that. He just needs to make the opposing offenses think twice about how they'll get their shot off in and near the paint, block a few, and gather rebounds.
I just thought it was me, but I keep thinking he's finishing a thought and he just keeps going....Kyle's been way too wordsy.
I'm hoping with experience he improves. I think he's trying very hard to replace LaTulip and he'd rather say too much and provide value than say too little and provide no value.I just thought it was me, but I keep thinking he's finishing a thought and he just keeps going....
Yeah, I actually like what he brings. And agree that he'll likely improve with experience. It's just something I've noticed more and more each time I watch.I'm hoping with experience he improves. I think he's trying very hard to replace LaTulip and he'd rather say too much and provide value than say too little and provide no value.
