Okay, ignore everything I said about Nicco and Nico. "Actually"'s post prompted me to do a Google search. I should have done that in the first place. And it looks as if "Actually" is correct. It still could be NIcco but usually it is Nico. So my apologies to everyone for being an a** and wasting everyone's time. I think I will take some time off away from Loyalty
Well, just to add confusion, his bio on the official university website spells it Nicco (last bullet under Personal) and I would think the person interviewing him would have asked but who knows

Going back and rewatching the Latulip video is something I would recommend for a lot of you guys. The defense overall was actually pretty good. Some of the shots Iowa were hitting in the first half were absolutely absurd, and I think it evened out towards the end of the game. The energy was way better, hope to see them continue to make strides defensively
Iowa definitely was hitting their midrange jumpers in the first half, though to be honest, it didn't seem all that out of the ordinary based on how they've been playing. They hit some tough ones, sure, but as you said, it felt more like good offense to me than bad defense. And I also felt Iowa hitting those shots won't happen every game for them but it seemed fairly repeatable.

Interestingly, I thought Ty was playing some really solid defense on Sandfort in the 1st half. Sandfort knowing he couldn't get around Ty, looked to settle for long midrange stepback jumpers which he drained. And to be fair, that is in Payton's bag. But when Moretti was put in, Sandfort saw the size advantage and forgot about his midrange game, and instead tried driving him multiple times only to result in contested 5-8 footers off glass, which is not one of his better shots. This was something that really worked to our advantage, and special shout out to Moretti for doing all he could to stand firm when Sandfort drove on him to contest the shot with the body.

I thought Moretti did a fairly good job of keeping in front of whoever he was gaurding forcing them to shoot over him. Sometimes that's all it takes to affect their shot.

Iowa plays 5 very good offensive players.
However Coleman showed that their center is slower than molasses when he drove to hoop.

We are a strange defensive team. We play stretch 4 at center so we are vulnerable to good postmen. We play two small forwards at guard - Marcus and Ty so we have trouble keeping up with quick guards. However we have good size Ty 6'6" Marcus 6'6" TSJ 6'7" Quincy 6'8" and Coleman 6'10" so can switch on defense.

Next year with Sencire, Morez, Amani and Ty you have good defensive core.
Not sure where the offense will come from. Maybe go back to feeding Dain in the post and Luke taking more 3's.
