Let’s win a championship tomorrow first!
My orange Illini polo is all ready to go for tomorrow. Guessing the Hawkeye and Cyclone fans probably won't like that one!I live in Madison, thinking about wearing my Shannon jersey to Church tomorrow. (These folks are famous for their church pregame jerseys). Hope the priest still gives me communion.
Ayo had Thirty-four tonight~!Looking forward to the Ayo vs. Jr. battles in the Association next season. Ayo's pro game is coming along nicely (some 20-point games lately). And Shannon will take nicely to the next level with ease. Attention Recruiters: More Illini players like these -- please.
And was a bust in the pros!Made me think of Austin Carr's performance against UCLA. Hard to believe that Austin averaged 50 in seven NCAA games.
Gave me the chillsIf a picture/video could tell 1,000 words, it’s the one of Shannon embracing Whitman walking off the court today.
They are clearly deep enough for that criteria. My only concern is that we are not a deep team. Three tough games in a row with our top guys logging a lot of minutes followed by our tournament games beginning 4 days later. I'm hoping that we aren't going to see issues with fatigue.
Would you dare have 2021 Coleman guard 2024 Coleman?Ayo would struggle with the longer Shannon defending him, which would be the lynchpin of the 2024 gameplan.
But Kofi would get anything he wanted every time down the floor, and any time we got Trent switched onto the likes of Domask or Goode he would roast them like Christmas dinner.
2021 would make 2024 work for their points. It would not be vice versa.
Venting. It’s just venting.Maybe it’s because I’m old.
Maybe it’s because I simply enjoy fixating on the game.
Maybe it’s because I don’t feel the need to express my enthusiasm or frustration online.
What I know to be true is that once, just once, I thought I would follow the game thread while watching.
That ended after about 3 minutes.
I honestly don’t understand the whole game thread thing. The negativity is simply off the charts.
The comments at times are ridiculous.
I just don’t get it….
I was at Chicago Stadium for those triple headers in '69 thru '72. Rick Howat and Nick Weatherspoon played in that game I believe. And was a bust in the pros!
I saw us beat the Austin Carr-led Notre Dame by One at the old Chicago stadium as part of a triple header. Alcindor was there too
