I think the coach said he had a set back following practice.anybody know what the story with Jayshon Platt? i hear the coach
indicate that he'll be in next week, then next week, then we plan on
him playing.... i dont like thinking bad things.

With a surgery on his throwing hand it's going to be a process to ramp up grip strength and make sure ball security isn't an issue.
Yeah, this seems like a half-hearted "Keep 'em guessing" move that's technically justifiabale because Houser is at least making a few throws in practice. I think UCLA is the earliest we'll see him. With a surgery on his throwing hand it's going to be a process to ramp up grip strength and make sure ball security isn't an issue.
He'll be fine once it's healed, but no reason to be excessive about trying to push him before that.

I hypothesized earlier in the week that I personally don’t think we will see him during the regular season- whatever his issue is , is bad enough to keep him out week after week .anybody know what the story with Jayshon Platt? i hear the coach

I was listening to a podcast with Jeremy and J Leman earlier in the week. They said he was getting close, but then had a "setback" in practice last week. So I don't know exactly what happened, but I agree with you that it's looking doubtful that we see him this season.I hypothesized earlier in the week that I personally don’t think we will see him during the regular season- whatever his issue is , is bad enough to keep him out week after week .
if there was a case for guys to justifiably earn an extra year , it’s him & Perry
Houser is up to doubtful?
Doubtful has been BB's "out for the season" since he's been our coach. I doubt we see either of these two the rest of the year.anybody know what the story with Jayshon Platt? i hear the coach

Listened to a podcast earlier this week and Jeremy said with 5 for 5, there's no medical redshirt seasons and exemptions anymore.I hypothesized earlier in the week that I personally don’t think we will see him during the regular season- whatever his issue is , is bad enough to keep him out week after week .

Tuition was around $900 a semester when I was in school 83-85, and that was for unlimited credit hours. Now the typical tuition for undergrads is $ per credit hour. I was able to scoot through by taking 17-26 semester hours every semester. The greatest bargain in higher education IMHO.I graduated in late 80s and could pay for it with savings from working summers and a part-time job during the year. In grad school, my stipend paid all my expenses --one bedroom apartment, food, etc., as long as I lived poor. My how times have changed.
'84-'88 here. Absolutely no doubt, even at 3x for non-Illinoisans like me (few as we were at the time.)Tuition was around $900 a semester when I was in school 83-85, and that was for unlimited credit hours. Might need to gear up for the possibility that Platt won’t play at all this year.
Brother, while you’re gearing up, I’m halfway up the mountain already.Might need to gear up for the possibility that Platt won’t play at all this year.
