Game originally scheduled for Saturday, January 23rd
We willCould we try and schedule a game now in between psu and Iowa?
they won't they are also not going to be ready cover wise. Will we schedule a conference or non conf team is the questionYeah if Nebraska can play us this weekend that would be great....
I was thinking the same thing. It would be an awfully good time to pop a cupcake in there. Definitely have to get those young guys more stress free PT to tune up the engine a bit. Hopefully BU does that.Could we try and schedule a game now in between psu and Iowa?
Agreed. Have to think we put in a cupcake as well. Get multiple guys some playing time and get ready for Iowa at hopefully 11-5 (6-3) with a huge oppurtunity to get right back in the title raceI was thinking the same thing. A perfect cupcake would be DePaul, they’ve played only a handful of games, could use the reps, and certainly qualify as a cupcakeI was thinking the same thing. Three more positive tests: a freshman walk-on and two staff members.MSU has canceled a weeks worth of games already, Izzo’s son and a freshman roommate first had it, perhaps others have now tested positive, that’s a long period of cancellations if only the first two have tested positive.
I get playing a cupcake to get a sure W, but if BU is struggling with guys who can’t get up for a game, I’m not sure that’s the vibe he would be looking for.Problem with a “cup cake” is what testing standard and control do they have over their programs?
For example I live in Naples Florida (FGCU) they have already had to post pone twice in both women’s and men’s basketball. My wife of a ARNP at their healthcare facility. The athletes are only required to test 2 times per week. Money is an issue for a school like FGCU.
Playing a team from “a lesser” conference could just lead to our own players testing positive?
It really is a mess at this point.
I think he's struggling getting guys in games, playing meaningful, yet stress free minutes. I'm all about guys learning on the fly, but the amount of weight that Miller and Curbelo are being asked to carry, without any meaningful preconference season....it's part of where our issues lie. We're not trotting 7 upperclassmen out there night in and night out. Three Freshmen are getting significant time on a team playing a very, very difficult schedule. Curbelo's turnovers are magnified times 10, as are Miller's missed shots. This has been a common theme with a lot of teams leaning on Freshmen.I get playing a cupcake to get a sure W, but if BU is struggling with guys who can’t get up for a game, I’m not sure that’s the vibe he would be looking for.
We look like we’re bored on the court when we’re playing anybody who isn’t top 10 already, idk if playing a cupcake helps that urgency.
I agree. They are going to have to be aggressive now in getting games played. I’d rather be ahead a game in the schedule whenever possible.I think the big ten should try to move a conference game up in place. Maybe the Indiana or Northwestern game. Need to free up dates for potential make up games that have already been postponed
