They'd have to sit out a year either way right?!?!? So I think they'd be more likely to stay. :noidea:
Some times they don't have a choice....oh wait that doesn't happen @ Illinois.

Did anybody else catch wind of this article? Laugh all you want but I like the mindset that KN has going into next year.

not a vocal leader but the keeper of the flame of hope and desire. Got to love the attitude and respect that he loves playing at Illinois and for Coach.

No doubt! I just don't see that happening with anyone currently on our roster. Wait, I take that back. I can see the Black situation perhaps going that route, but wouldn't put any money down on it.
More likely to transfer.
Not really sure how to present this information because it's probably the only time I'll have 'inside' information, but anyway here it goes:
One of our current players has a very strong desire to be a part of the CoB but he obviously is not at this current time. If he is not given the ability to be a part of the college of business, he most likely will transfer. Decisions come out in May/June.
I trust where I got this information, it is VERY close to the source.
As with most things on this board and 'inside' information, at the end of the day, who the hell knows what'll happen, but this is an interesting perspective.

JCL.
Cue the message board meltdown.
He was just named that scholar athlete thing last week and in the release it states his major as community health. On the other hand if that is his GPA, a 3.25, it is beyond me why he would not be accepted into the school of business. That is a time when both Groce and Whitman need to pull every flippin string they have. There would be no excuses to lose a kid like that once he is in the school but not accepted by the CofB.
I'm very excited about the minutes our freshman received this year, that experience can not be replaced. I'm most excited moving forward to see how they couple this experience with the development of their bodies with a full offseason under Coach Fletcher. Fletch seems to be an incredible asset to this program as he has played and seems to know exactly what basketball players need. Obviously, it ultimately is up to the player, but Mav's physical development during the season has been amazing and he has seen the results pay off for him.
Wait so do all students have to apply once they're already on campus or did this hypothetical student athlete just not make the cut when he first enrolled?
