I have been a long time lurker on this site but never posted because I didn't make an account. Anyway I'm a senior at GBW and I have seen Western Michigan and Nevada talking to Brodner during gym. Hope he goes here though worst case scenario he is a good special teams player.

Thanks for the update! Welcome to the board. :thumb:

Really a fan of the potential he shows on tape. Kid is FAST, has some problems turning at the hips like the link on ea365 above mentions though. Watch the second play of the tape, he gets completely lost for a while and then comes back to lay the lumber. Physical, fast, and has good ball skills. He just needs some work in man coverage, but he could be a good free safety and has the skill set to evolve into a good D1 corner. I hope he did commit like everyone is hearing.

According to scout jc he committed watched his film think he's got potential. Anyone else on eastern Arizona we are interested in?

I think at a minimum it is premature that Whitner is committed. There either some sort of snag or very soft commitment. There has been nothing substantial confirming the commitment from anyone, sorry.

Just confirmed with Eastern Arizona DB A'Keitheon Whitner that he did indeed commit to Illinois last night.

Correct me if I am wrong but didn't Mike Phair came through the Juco scene in Arizona?

No connection to Illinois that I'm aware of, but what an incredible name. I will be very interested to see where he ends up.

Hi fellow Illini!

I am new to this board but have been reading for quite some time. I am more a football fan than basketball, but love both sports.

Looks like we get off to a good start this recruiting season. Any ideas on who might be next to commit? (not counting the kid who committed the other day, but may have jumped the gun)
