Im not sure we needed another. With Brown and Corbin and Vaughan next year. Plus whoever else we have. But sometimes guys dont work out. Position change could be a possibility.
With the injuries we've had this year, can never have enough skill guys, never.
Beat me to the punch Observer. He appears to have very good vision with vvg qu sharp cutting ability along with vvg especially for his size power. The one think I thought he lacked was impressive straight line speed. I gave him a 3* 5.5 rating.
For what it is worth Cain only received a 5.55 and Trenard Davis a 5.6 so if Cain is any indication he could do very well.

For questions about American Heritage Delray, I can provide a few answers/tidbits since my son has a friend that is a starting offensive tackle. AH-Delray is one of the top 3A teams in the state of Florida - they lost in the 3A State championship game last year and are in the semifinals again this year - playing Friday night. They typically have good talent and are consistently one of the better teams in Palm Beach County regardless of class/size. I believe they would be competitive with St Thomas Aquinas, just to give an example. STA beat Dwyer (another Palm Beach County traditional power) in the playoffs this year, but were beaten by Dwyer two years ago in the playoffs (Dwyer was the 2013 Florida Class 7A champion). AH-Delray is competitive with Dwyer. AH-Delray is a good program and the Illini could do much worse than getting players out of AH-Delray.

They even beat Naples, FL, a top ten ranked 6A program (for reference, AmH is 3A). They play legitimate D1 players pretty often.

Watched a JC fs/ss tape from Kansas that supposedly just visited Zac Holman
Not overly impressed first he looks skinny so a year in s+c might be required. He showed good vision and anticipation or shadowing skills and eagerness to come up and hit making him equally skilled at both safety positions. But he just seemed to lack just enough sp or st and power. He was vvg-vg at both and had just enough hip flip to be okay. To me he rated a 2* 5.45 rating and I would rather go with a hs kid since he need a year to develop his body.

Cubit staying was the swing part of the decision for the recruits . Who was going to be their coach. But a two year deal is plan idiotic in terms of recruiting. It will be interesting to see what happens with the uncommitted kids still out there, but the guys already committed like Moran should be fine.
Sutton, Cronk, Groves.....what other uncommitted prospects do we have a good shot at?

American Heritage advances to Florida 3A State Championship for the third year in a row. Devin Singletary (Illini commit) went down with an ankle injury in the first quarter of Friday nights semifinal win over previously undefeated Clearwater Central Catholic. I have not heard yet whether Devin will be available for this Saturdays championship game.

That can't be good! And it was reported on 11/7/15 so hopefully things have changed for the better. He is our only 4* recruit.

Sean Foster decommits from MN. Too bad we don't have a better situation to entice him with....
Minnesota should thank their lucky stars for us, only the bonfire in Champaign is covering up how badly they screwed up their situation.
