What is the attraction to Syracuse? I don't get it. I know I'm not supposed to understand 17 and 18 yr old kids, but of all places... Syracuse? :frustrated:

Jim Brown, Ernie Davis, Donovan McNabb? Orange and Blue? Is our recent record any better than theirs?

Heck no it isn't. I didn't intend for it to come across as "If Syracuse, why not Illinois?" type post. Sorry if it did. I was asking in general, taking Illinois out of the equation, why Syracuse?

They have been just as bad in recent history as Illinois, with same flash in the pan type success at times.

The existing recruiting relationships of Dino Babers most likely.

Not sure how I forgot about Babers to Syracuse, but I did. :frustrated:

Maybe I was so wrapped up in the fun surrounding the Illini sports programs that I just forgot.

It seems like we have a lot of players every year that our interested in Illinois and Syracuse, its weird. It must be an orange thing, i dont get it.

In Moran case is he can qualify at Syracuse he can't at Illinois, more than that I unable to mention why Syracuse.

If the lists include Illinois, Syracuse, Iowa State, and Kansas, I think I can see the pattern...

Anybody know anything about this kid? Hate to judge a kid by his offer list, but I feel like this is indicative of how this recruiting class will go

Staff is in on some pretty talented 3 stars with bigtime offer lists with signing day two weeks away. We're talking Zarrian Holcombe types here. If they can land some, the class will finish much better than expected.

That said, I wouldn't say any of those very talented three stars are more than 50% possibilities at this point.
