Nice to win in a battle with Mizzou especially with the new found interest in the rivalry game again. Welcome aboard Tony:illinois:

Are we sure he put on the right hat? All crystal ball predictions and reports were him going to Mizzou? This is a shocker for me. :thumb:

The balls are a marketing gimmick, albeit a brilliant one. Best not to put too much faith in them.

Isn't good for future possible nut punches. Imagine being the Mizzou fan.

Not saying we lead or anything, but Oladipo and Green are deciding this month

Yep, and IF we land both of them, the first 10 commits of the Lovie era will average about the same 247 rating as our top commit in 2016. So far the quality has been a solid improvement, and I think there are encouraging signs that Lovie & Co. won't have to lower that quality level to get to the number of commits we want.

That said, I will be very happy if either of them don the O&B. I don't have any insider info, I just really like both of their highlight tapes and potential.

I like this Adams pick up a lot. I'm trying not to obsess over our class rank just yet and look at who we're beating (or not). Adams was thought to be a strong Missouri lean. That's a good win.

I don't follow football recruiting that closely, what positions do we need to fill this season? What would constitute a strong recruiting season?

We need DL bad. Oladipo is the most important recruit due to being instate, and position of need

Scout has Adams listed as the best cornerback in Missouri

I always preface my posts with I don't know football talent, but if he's a corner, why is 2/3 of his hudl film at WR? Which one will be his position?

If you were recruiting him in NCAA Football 14, he would be an ATH* with attributes for both DB and WR.

He has raw skill on both sides of the ball but I think he is projecting as more of a DB. Either way, Lovie and crew will bring him in and coach him up with whatever position seems to click.

By his senior year, he will be a stud at that position.

*ATH = Athlete (in case you never played the NCAA football video games)
